Manny clearly stated that Floyd is the one he wants to fight next.

Floyd just called out Pacquiao for May 5.

It seems the DATE is now the main issue for PAC-Floyd fight.

Which date is more preferable for PAC vs Floyd fight?

    May 26 or May 5 ???

Team PAC has good reasons to have it in late May. Team Floyd should agree to a May 26 date.

there is no excuses now. anybody who calls themselves a boxing fan should know..the first weekend of may is ALWAYS a big boxing fight night. so as much as it has been debated and as much as i hate mayweather...clearly its Bob Arum keeping pac away fom this.

No they don't, and this is a sad uninformed attempt to save face.

IMO, the date is irrelevant. They can make the fight on a Wednesday and it will still sell like no other.

Floyd seems to insists on a May 5th date WITHOUT any good reasons aside from the fact that he booked the MGM Grand already for that date. They can easily pay the booking penalty.

Holding the fight on a 40,000-seat arena is one very good reason in having it on May 26. The fans would love it since more fans can see it live in the arena.

Team pac is out of excuses. Pac needs to take the right or risk hurting his legacy.

They can have the fight on a Tuesday, May 22 and it will still sell big and break all-time records.

May 5th do it in the MGM. Building an outdoor arena is gonna suck all the sound the crowd makes you barely hear esp on TV and ARum wants to talk about how he'll lose money having it at the MGM but building and then tearing down a 40,000 seat temporary arena wont cost more money? They'll send all the money they make on the gate just to build the arena instead of GETTING PAIDDDDDD to have it at MGM and then get the money from the gate on top of that. Another Arum bull**** excuse.

The date is not really an issue.

That's just an excuse. It wasn't an issue for Arum when it looked like Floyd would be unable to fight on May 5th. Arum said Pacquiao could face Marquez on that date in place of Floyd.

If you suffered a deep cut, the farther your next fight, the better. Agree? Give the deep cut more than enough time to fully heal.
