guillermo, despite a great great amateur pedigree, still looks like hes not ready for the pros in my opinion. At least not to the point that his people are rushing him to. It doesnt make any sense to me why he was able to get this fight but I see him getting bruised up and losing a majority decision.

    thoughts?

Through 5 rounds, Ramos looked like an out of place amateur against Shimoda. I followed the Poonsawat/Lee/Shimoda lineage of battles and respect that more than most here I am sure. Still though, not a good sign. Struggling against Cordoba in Cowboys Stadium in your seventh fight seems like less of a deal when we know that both are very skilled.

I will be rooting for Ramos, but I think Rigondeaux wins. I am expecting a close battle throughout. Should be a great one. Rigondeaux MD.

    Edit:

Also, I would pick Rigondeaux in a H2H with Shimoda comfortably. So, that may explain some.

Even in thinking Rig will win, I expect close rounds and some controversy.

If someone is getting stopped, it's Guillermo.

He deserves the fight on grounds that he brings in some money, is a known commodity, generates threads like this as opposed to "Ramos vs. Lee." Plus, if the WBA were even a shred of respectable, I would mention their standards and having Rigondeaux as the (is it?) interim champ.

Ramos doesn't have the most exciting style, maybe too inactive vs Shimoda most of the time, but I think he did it for good reason.l, Shimoda being very aggressive and hard punching Ramos was wary of that. Rigo is a totally different fight, but its Ricos patience that can win him the fight. He can surprise Rigo at any given moment and cause a minor upset. I dont think Rico will be intimidated, but he will fight smart. I'm a purist fan so its great to watch Rigo, but I see a rarely seen patience in Rico when things don't go his way he takes his time and tries to minimize his mistakes. Can't wait for this one.

Ramos does not have the pop that he 'showed' against Shimoda. I will be surprised if this fight doesn't put us all to sleep. That being said, I say Rigondeaux wins the most boring UD of all time and they ban (hopefully, but I seriously doubt it. Ramos is managed by Haymon) both these guys from t.v.

Rigo by TKO before round 5 . Ramos is gonna run away from Rigo for most of the fight until he gets caught with a body shot . If Ramos brings it to Rigo then I expect a TKO in the first round . Anyway you look at this fight there's a TKO waiting for Ramos . Peace .

Let's keep this thread active after Rigo TKO/KO's Ramos early, you my friend don't know what you are talking about. Rigondeaux is the future P4P King of 122 and 126 pounds. ;)
