I know exactly what you mean. I'm a boxer and I have a few friends who practise MMA. A right few tried boxing before but weren't very good at it so they tried MMA. Now they don't shut up about it and keep telling me I should quit boxing (which they know is my passion) and tell me how hard MMA has made them...
The quote isn't wrong. Tony Stark is boxing with Hogan and slips in an elbow to the head from close range. Hogan says something like, What the hell was that?!, to which Tony mockingly replies, Its called mixed martial arts, and its been around for about three weeks. Hogan spits back, Its called dirty boxing, and its been around a long time.
blame the ref. Just like you blame the ref for allowing Tommy Morrison to get whacked 30 times in the corner by Mercer.
First of all alot of boxing fans come to troll on the mma side for some reason and second most mma fans are boxing fans. If you like combat sports how could you like one and not the other? i've been a boxing fan since the earyl 80's but when mma came along couldn't help but not like it. It's as real fighting as you will get.
MMA is always going to be boxing's ***** for the next decade at least. You will know it has grown the **** up when they stop feeling the need to mention Boxing every time they open their raggity ass mouths.
That sounds stupid , Take away Pac and Floyd how much money will boxing get in ppv? boxing isn't going anywhere and will not die anytime soon, but it is bleeding.....slowly
I wonder if there are any Greco-Roman Wrestling forums, where posters argue whether or not Greco-Roman is better than mma. Do the pro-greco posters call mma guys "***s" for attacking below the waste?
Exactly, people think they have to be on a team as if it's us against them or whatever...childish really.
Kinda ironic that you're the one who stirred up yet another debate on this subject :good. On this MMA section I see just as many boxing fans trying to troll MMA as I see meatheads MMA ''fans'' shouting nonsense about boxing.
