we'll see what happens. dunkin has always been good at giving a rosy outlook on kelly's latest "comeback" whether it was from staph or booze or whatever.

if he would just get his **** together he could make a lot of noise. he probably has been given more chances than most would get but anyone who doesnt think a healthy kelly is good for boxing is nuts.

i think this will be his last chance with TR at least. I'm pretty sure he's nearing the end of his TR contract so if he ****s this up, no doubt TR won't resign him and I doubt anyone else would. i wasnt in the room of course, but i can't imagine this isnt how the conversation went w/ kelly and TR when they told him he was leaving jack and youngstown and moving out to cali.

I've read some dumb things on the internet before...and this is one of them. Boxing is one of the few endeavors in life where "catching a break" doesn't play a huge role in achievement. You can have a good/decent amatuer career, find any number of small time local promoters, (assuming you didn't get the attention of a major promotion during the amatuer career) then turn pro and start building a record. The rest relies mostly on talent and winning fights. If I wanted to be a rock star, or a famous actor, a break is almost a requirement. But to imply that because one "drunken *******" exists in boxing that multiple young fighters aren't getting thier chance at a career is asinine. Please explain where in that equation Kelly Pavlik is stopping kids from a chance to fight.

P.S. I obviously am aware that there are circumstances where 'catching a break' can come in to play. But I'm speaking in broad strokes here.

If anything, his absence has exactly the opposite effect.

Pavlik is done, he will never live up to the Jermain Taylor win, he hadn't beaten anyone since. He lost to Martinez and B-Hop ... he's not athletic enough to keep up with the top super middleweights and he hasn't shown that he can box.

Pavlik will never catch anyone else by surprise and won't be a world champion again. He should've cashed out with Bute and took on some mid-level opposition to stay in the public eye.

    "This pale drunken"

Now I get it, he should spend his days in a tanning salon and be orange, that'll do the trick!

What does his skin color have to do with anything?

Garcia isn't going to transform him ... He's a walking punching bag/tough guy ... He's terrible and he's been living off that Jermain Taylor win for years.

    He beat Jermain twice.

With that said, if he's that terrible, why don't you pick up boxing and go get yourself one of them MW belts?

He can't beat any of the Top super middleweights. Anthony Dirrell would knock him out.

Hey I might pick up boxing but I wouldn't be a middleweight !!
