A new low for Floyd if he chooses Guerrero -_-

Would this be the same "low" he experienced when he "chose" Spadafora?

 

That's irrelevant, it doesn't change the fact Robert is the kind of fighter who's earned his "shots", has taken advantage of those opportunities, and is clearly underrated by people that have probably never or rarely seen him fight. I like to see good things happen to good people, hence him getting this kind of fight would be something that made me happy. Whether you agree or not doesn't matter to me, I speak for myself and I would enjoy it.

People need to be realistic here. Canelo is a big dude. You really think Floyd is going to give Canelo the weight advantage and fight with 10 oz gloves? You really think Cotto is going to sign a fight without Bob Arum promoting him? I said hell no to the above. What other choices are there besides Guerrero? Martinez?? No ****in way. Too dangerous. Not hating on Floyd but he can not fight at jmw and look dominant. Sure he can give a boxing lesson like he did to DLH. But he cant leave a mark on dudes that big and has no choice but to fight backwards with such a size disadvantage. Too risky losing rounds and losing a decision vs the big boys and for what? To beat Canelo or Martinez? Who cares if he beats them. Guerrero is the only guy who can attract the best fans in the sport. The mexican n latino fanbase. Cinco de mayo its the only realistic option. Theres nobody left! Deal with it, Money May vs Ghost Guerrero May 5th. Book it!

 

This is not a done deal. I hope not anyways. I really hate either fight between this one or a Canelo fight but..... Alvarez is a likely fight and a Guerrero fight ain't happening. Pretty sure I'm right on this.

The guy is a shadow of his old self give him a break he is 34 at a weight he has little power and he looked like garbage vs Ortiz. We know at this stage he is looking to fight inexperienced Welters or those at the end of the road looking for retirement $.

Guerrero kept talking about Mayweather the same way Martinez and Khan did.
People started believing that Floyd will fight Guerrero, is ducking Martinez and that the Khan fight was OK match up.

 

Guerrero needs to fight a tune-up fight and maybe fight an established 140 or 147lb ... hell I would even go as far as to suggest that he wins a welterweight belt.

 

It's just that the fight with Guerrero makes no sense, according to past statements from Floyd. He needs a viable dance partner to make that money he wants, and that means name fighters. Cotto is the one that I think will get the fight. It makes the most sense and contrary to some posts in here, he is the most deserving out of the rest of th potential match ups. He is the number 3 guy in the sport right now, in terms of star power, with Floyd and many taking the 1 and 2 spots.
