Fantasy Matchup : Money Mayweather v Terrible Terry Norris .

A little bit unfair match-up as light middle clearly wasn't Floyd's weight.

Norris is bigger, stronger, throws great hard combinations and faster at that weight than Floyd.

And i'm not sure Floyd punches hard enough to exploit Norris' main weakness.

Norris would flatten Mayweather. The difference in technical ability is not wide enough to just offset the devastating advantage Norris has in athleticism and more importantly, size.

Norris via KO, early to middle rounds.

 

Norris is one of the most devastating offensive fighters P4P I've ever had the joy to witness, absolute beauty on the attack.

Unfortunately for him his defense had some holes and I think Mayweather's patient enough to take advantage of them in between being bombarded with (what look like) shoe shine combos that actually have KO power on them (****ing ridiculous).

Mayweather UD probably, 7-5.

 

Norris has too much physicality for Floyd. Matches him for speed and is a real killer. Terry destroyed smaller guys for fun for the most part. Can't see Floyd surprising him with something big either.

 

Floyd is too mentally tough for him

 

Norris was a beast at 154, too big for Floyd, quicker and hit like a ton of bricks

 

Terrible Terry is one of toughest mentally in history. The guy was one mean dude.

 

Norris wasn't really huge though, not even big for 154 and could have made 147 fairly easily he stated several times.

It was the amount of speed and power he retained with that size that made him so incredible.

 

Norris, while not being a big 154 lb fighter, is still physically larger than Floyd, and also is a terrible matchup for him.

Floyd is the greater/better fighter, but I don't see him winning here.

Norris was big and lightning fast offensive machine. I dont know what Floyd could have done since he doesnt have the power at JMW to trouble Norris suspect chin.

 

Norris was physically VERY strong. He would force Floyd to give up a lot of ground. He had insane ring strength.

As for him making welterweight. That's him playing the ole okey-dokey and tempting those smaller guys he was feasting on up. He would've carried himself better at 160 then 147. Trust me. But he was wary if those big guys that's why he never rematched JJ even though they were in the same DK stable.

Norris is one of the most vicious and mentally strong guys i've ever seen. He had to be so mentally strong with a chin like that. NEVER became gun-shy and even stepped to big puncher like Mugabi (although Mugabi was past prime he still had a big punch) after he was himself badly KO'd.

Norris would be a nightmare for Floyd, imo.

 

Agreed on all fronts really. So I'm not going to make arguments where they don't exist.

I just feel Floyd has more tools in his box to make adjustments where he needs to, and Terry leaves enough openings where Floyd's timing becomes a big factor.

He wouldn't KO Terry but his defense is good enough to not get KO'ed and his timing good enough to land his shots precisely and consistently.

Just my humble opinion on the matter.

 

Floyd would not hear Norris's call out. When Larry Merchant asked Floyd about it Floyd stormed away . Then Floyd would agree to fight Norris if Terry submitted to blood tests, an MRI and a Proctosope. In the meantime Floyd went on "vacation".
After "vacation" Floyd signs to fight 130 pound champ Bobby Chacon at "catch weight" of 144. Bobby weighs in at 139, Floyd weighs in at 147 and takes the fine.By fight time Floyd weighs 159 and Chacon who took a dump weighs 135. Floyd wins a unanimous decision.
Norris continues to lobby for a fight with Floyd , who beats his former girlfriend, steals her cell phone , and threatens his own children with bodily harm.
The fight never happens. It's ok according to his fans, who say, "Floyd would have won anyway."

 

I've seen all of Norris's fights and I believe PBF could beat him. Norris was beating up guys from lower weights and old fighters like SRL and Curry. He finally gets a good match-up and gets KO by Simon Brown. He looked impressive, but come on, who did he fight? PBF has only fought once at 154 and he fought a still good fighter in Oscar. Lets wait and see if he moves up to fight Canelo or Cotto to see if he brings any pop in his punches. Why not rematch Jackson or fight McCallum. Real JMW fighters.
