Bless these guys. Its Rob Nortons fault that the British cruiserweight title has such little credibility. Is Leon the best 200 pound fighter in the country?

He started well, was outworking Ali early and was showing good variation. but he took a round off in the fourth and then in the fifth Ali began to get the better of him and I think Maguire began to struggle with the tempo. In the fifth and sixth he was forcing his work and Ali really began to crack in the body shots and got a late knockdown with a cracking shot which got him the victory.

Tony Conquest would beat him IMO.

Weights were interesting for the last fight. Sexton was 229, his lowest since his debut. Larry was 242, 20lbs less than normal.

I think that Matty Askin, John Lewis Dickinson, Tony Conquest and even though he is a novice Stephen Simmonds are better then both of these two. IIRC the winner of this is obliged to take on the winner of a eliminator bout between Askin and Dickinson.

I noticed Larry wasn't as muscle bound maybe common sense plus a beard to protect his biscuit tin has developed him as a fighter .

If you get drunk and squint it's kinda like watching a cut price, cruiserweight version of Benn vs Collins.
