Definitely hard to say when Vitali's true prime is/was.

Vitali's last fight against Adamek he comes in at 243, his lightest weight in 12-years, and he physically looks better than probably ever before....yes, he's older and not as fast as he was years ago, but he's also got more experience in the ring to help offset that.

Does that mean the Vitali of Adamek was his "prime". Now, I admit, that sounds really weird to say, considering Vitali turned 40 2-months before the Adamek fight . . . but I say it's a possibility.

In actuality though, I think Vitali missed out on what would have been his definite prime, when he had to retire from 04-08 due to his injuries.

yeah, the worst version of Lewis who had just come off his career signature win.

10lbs heavier on 6'5 frame was not fat or outta shape, it was a little extra weight put on to fight against the wide and top heavy Kirk Johnson. So instead of weight draining 12 days before a fight he kept it on for the longer Vitali.

People talk about Lewis not fighting his game, but when Vitali rocked him multiple times in the first 2 rounds he was forced to adapt and move the fight inside where Vitalis shots were far less effective. Smart move, and likely the best fight he ever fought while losing.
As for being KOd, this infighting is what kept Lennox up, had he chose to try to win the war outside he'd been layed out with or without Vitali losing 2 quarts of blood and being near blind on one side.

In a rematch I'd favor Vitali.....Lewis would be the betting fav again, but Vitali is as smart as Lewis and would likely not allow for Lewis to tempt him into another inside slugfest. Instead he fight behind a measured jab/cross until he saw Lennox slowing and then take it to him and stopping him inside the distance. Likely a 10th or 11th rd T/KO for Vitali.
Of course, Vitali could also choose to keep it outside and win a decision as well.
But the majority vote of Lewis T/KO is ludicrous. Vitali aint getting into a war of the cornrows again or a war of the UCs again so he aint getting cut up again, and he aint getting stopped twice.:deal
Best case scenario for Lewis would be to retire before taking this fight while he still has the title......ooops, forgot, he made the best decision for himself, and noone can blame him.

bro your asking a black fella if he likes blacks .....:patsch every one knows Vitali was winning the fight at the time of the stoppage "was" but everything changed in an instant when the ones at ringside knew Lewis was going down stopped the fight cuz they fig they could make a ton of $ on a rematch because of the cut ...then Lewis threw in the towl...:deal

also if Lewis had the type of skin Vitali had his face would have been just as bad if not worse
