Biggest laugh I've had today so far. :D

With Ward coming in wary of Bute's body punches, a right hook + left uppercut might be what Bute will try to time Ward with.

Didn't Boone floor Ward with an uppercut to the chin? Or was it a different punch? That's what I seem to remember, and am too lazy to check it out.

Did you ever watch Kessler-Froch again?

Of course I did. ESB runs slow between 10-12 pm.

I counted 5 rounds where Kessler goes hard to the body. He doesn't land everything, but some short hooks and even uppercuts were right clean to the bottom of the rib cage.

I still think an off balance come forward Froch who's been tagged to the body for 8 to 10 rounds CAN (see, I don't say will) crumble to a full force left uppercut to the liver from Bute. Will he land them, will he target Froch's jaw more so than the body, dunno. But we'll sure ****in find out if you ask me, and I can't wait until the first bell rings.

    :good

You're for the most part a quality poster, drozzy. We seem to bump heads on some topics, I honestly like the Bute-Froch fight and I can't wait for it either. It's really the step up Bute needs in his career.

I think it'll be a competetive fight, lasting the full twelve rounds.

Not for you, being that you think that fights with Andrade and Johnson gives us an idea of what would and wouldnt work against Ward.

Same can be said about Ward facing Bute. Andre never met a fighter whose punches are so surgically acurate. It's reasonable to say Bute is two times a threat to Ward than Froch was.

To say that Bute's body punches won't affect Ward is like saying a 30mm caliber bullet can't penetrate kevlar armor.

The thing is, we cannot know exactly how Bute would respond to Andre Ward's style of boxing, since Lucian has never met this kind of fighter so far.

Ward will control the distance with his footwork and his cobra like counter punching will keep Bute honest.
