    Do your research.

One of the most stupid posts I've read here.

Buy Four Kings by George Kimball, watch a few Hearns fights, y'know, get yourself up to scratch.

And then stop asking silly questions like you did here. The main reason he didn't KO Hagler is because you pretty much would have had to hit Hagler with a spade to put him down, no-one did (Juan Roldan was a dodgy call).

You are asking if his power is overrated, and the only examples you give are Hagler & SRL :patsch

He moved up to face Hagler, who has an atg chin, and another atg in SRL.

    Is this a joke?

Hearns is considered one of the ATG punchers for a reason. Because he WAS.

He hit Hagler in the first round and staggered him. Hagler, 20 years on, said he can still feel the punch. Unfortunately for Tommy, he broke his hand with that very punch. When he hit Hagler after that, Marvin walked through him as he had a broken hand. He staggered Leonard in their first fight (6th round, just after Ray hurts Tommy), and he dropped him twice in the rematch.

As a Welter, he was something like 34 fights, 33 wins, 32 by knockout.

The only man that beat him was the geat Sugar Ray, and the only man to go the distance with him (Colbert) was dropped something like 5 times in 10 rounds!

So it is fair to say his power was OK

You don't earn the nickname "Hitman" by being featherfisted

He was an ex-welterweight who had SEVERAL 1st round KOs at light heavyweight. Show me one welterweight today who would have several 1st round stoppages of lightheavyweights ... even journeymen.

NO HIS POWER WAS NOT OVER RATED HAGLER HAS THE BEST CHIN OF ALL TIME, even though Hearns did not KO everyone he fought.
