I mean, is anyone going to stand up for the sport and call a spade a spade? The Dan Rafaels and Kevin Ioles of the world need to unite when Arum calls the press conference to announce this fight. They need to start blitzing as many outlets as they can to ensure not only is the public aware of just how monumentally disgraceful this move is, but to encourage a full-on boycott. The only way you get Manny and Arum to seriously re-evaluate the current state of affairs, and what the public will consume, is to hit them where it hurts (in PPV numbers and subsequently in their wallets). You need to make Arum and company embarassed to even announce it at the press conference, stand up and kick up a fuss with the rest of press row when Arum is trying to sell you a lemon.

I mean, if you're not going to fight Mayweather, at least fight the guy a good portion thinks you lost to, not a guy you beat the **** out of last time.

Well, I won't be watching the fight, for what it's worth. I'll catch it a week later at no cost if I'm not doing anything that night. We all know how this fight goes... we've seen it already.

Boycott the fight people, let's get some momentum behind this thing. It would be great.

Call it 'NO to Pacquiao / Cotto!'

I hope the backlash to this one is magnified by a 1000, as it deserves to be after all the posturing and teasing about the megafight.

As a die hard Cotto fan im not thrilled about this rematch. But Pacquiao is the only other loss on Cotto's record. Im sure that will be a huge selling point in the public eye. Cotto has been through hell and back so let him have his shot at redemption. He sure deserves it.

Also its silly to want a Mayweather Cotto fight and not be okay with Cotto Pacquiao 2. I dont care how beat up Cotto was. Its the same present fighter who is in line for both p4p kings. You cant be for one fight and not the other.

I agree, let's boycott this fight ! Bbblehead fred and melonhead manny should listen to the world , and man up and take the fight with Floyd ! Show the world who is the better man ! Enough of the lieing and ducking ! If not Floyd next, why not the fourth Marquez fight that they were promising after the last schooling at the hands of Dinamita ? Easier to cherrypick ! i for one will not be watchinganother pcquiau mismatch !

just like we have seen leonard/hearns, duran, lenox lewis/ hasim rahman, eric morales/pacquiao, cotto/margarito, etc. second time around certain fighter make adjustment so what makes you think it'll be the same outcome. thats what many said about cotto/margarito 2

No. Not even close. TERRIBLE examples.

Leonard vs. Hearns/Duran were exciting, competitive fights. Lewis vs. Rahman was a case of one big shot by the lesser fighter changing everything and warranting a rematch. Pacquiao vs. Morales was a good competitive fight. Cotto vs. Rockgloves was a fight Cotto was winning until he wore out, which many believe was the result of loaded wraps on the part of his potentially cheating opponent... again, warranting a rematch to set the record straight.

Pacquiao vs. Cotto was a very one-sided affair in which Cotto was beaten down over the course of twelve rounds and stopped. There is no correlation between your examples and this fight.

No. The press never speak out. Theres more concerning things about the sport that this fight that they dont talk about.

Not to mention that the American press are blind as **** anyway.
