Cuts are not luck. I don't even have to say anything more than that

However I'm a good sport so I'll carry in. We all know vitali is about as good as he was now than when he retired in 04. What he lacks in natural ability he has gained in technique, experience and mental strength.

Briggs on the other hand was a piece of **** throughout his whole career. Although better at the front end actually picking up the lineal heavyweight title he got KTFO by Lewis.

12 years later an even worse Briggs coming off a schooling from ibragimov beat 3 nobody's and ludacrisly got a shot at the title yet Vitali failed to KO him.

Lewis beat the **** out of Vitalis face when he was old and fat....prime Lewis beats Vitali 10/10....fluidity vs roboticness.

lewis clearly won the fight due to cut and it was sad that lewis retired without giving him a rematch. If ever the rematch happen I think vitali will win it.

Telling it like it is. Maybe boxing should allow fighters to get 3 cut treatments a round for all 12 rounds. Maybe they could've kept Vitali's face from being ripped apart by Lewis. #Not!

 

Lewis won the fight ,but **** him ,he *****'d out of rematch.

ANY prediction on either side is just that. It's just someone's guess based on their view of what is going on.

I think VK should be very thankful the fight was stopped. My OPINION is he was on his way to being seriously injured and never being able to fight again.

Vitali gave everything into the first 4 rounds because he knew he had a terrible cut [like Hagler did when cut against Hearns]
Lewis weathered the storm and was in the ascendancy winning the last two round fought [whereas Hagler made this a moot point]

If Vitali continued with one of the worst cuts seen in modern boxing, having limited vision in his left eye against someone with one of the hardest overhand rights in history there is a distinct possibility of a Gerald McClellan scenario or worse.

The Vitali fans claiming he should go on remind me of the Michael Watson fans booing when Eubank stopped him,,demanding he fight on [and he would of if allowed] even though he was bleeding inside his head and near death..

It was a remarkable feat for Lewis at that stage of his career, Vitali would be trouble for any fighter If Holyfield had pulled off this victory he would have been elevated to no 1 of all time - but Lewis was critisized in the interview straight after the fight and this must have had some bearing on his decision to quit.
Boxers only have so much to give and Lewis gave the last of his to get a TKO over Vitali - I think Vitali would have won a rematch easily, not because he was better than Lewis, but because Lewis had nothing left and Lewis must of been thinking, even if he did win, as was proven, he would not be given any credit for it.
