Yes, nobody is quite sure if this is gonna happen, but if it does (not being what you lovely peeps affectionately refer to as a '*******' or '*****') my biggest fear is that it would be very one-sided in Mayweather's favour. Of course this could be the biggest fight since Leonard/Hagler, and so it would be nice to have a similarly competitive fight.

Alas, the closer the fight gets to materialising the more I can envisage Floyd sizing up a frustrated Pacquiao before pelting him with lead-rights galore.

  2. I think he wins pretty easy, UD or late KO.

It's not that Floyd is that much better, but Manny is just the kind of fighter he is comfortable against. No jab, mediocre footwork, off balance...It'll be a one sided Mayweather fight...unless these layoffs have taken Floyd's reflexes down some more.

He's going to make Pac look like a complete amateur.

I think that the 1st two or free rounds will be competitive will pac dominating with work rate after that once mayweather adjusts its gona be a 1 sided mayweather fight except mayweather will go for the kill if he has a chance late on

PBF will school him worse than JMM did. Pac isn't good enough technically to beat PBF he just isn't, he's too flawed and limited for a master boxer like PBF.:deal

Are you suggesting JMM beat Manny easily? Setting aside the fact that he's never actually beaten Manny, I can respect if you believe that he did. But in which fight was it easy?

I think the poster means Floyd beat Marquez easily.

It's a close fight with Manny having the edge in speed, power and chin, but Floyd being the slicker more naturally athletic fighter.:deal

    Manny by KO
    Floyd by SD

    my sentiments exactly.

Pac had a great winning streak dominating bigger opponents but the truth is mayweather will outsize him in the ring and will frequently beat him to the punch too.

Remember the frustrated, tired look of Pac in the last Marquez fight (in the latter third of the fight)?

That look will be apparent from as early as round 5 or 6 as Floyd peppers Manny with shots; Manny will grow increasingly more frustrated as he tries to walk Money down but his time will run out as he walks to the corner deflated after the final bell. The commentators will talk about how such a huge occasion became such an ordinary fight and the message boards will light up with Pacquiao fans claiming he was 'too small', 'distracted by politics','fighting two men in there, Floyd and the ref'......etc etc.

    Sad but (most probably) true.

And how many boxers on Manny's level have FMJ faced?
You all act like he's facing another Ortiz here.

While I do believe the logical choice is to bet on Floyd, it will only be a comfortable win and not an absolute schooling.

I am sure Floyd would beat him comfortably.

I've been proven wrong in the past, but I really don't think Manny can do **** to Floyd.

No, it'll be a comfortable but far from easy win

Anyone that says otherwise is a massive fanboy
