    Roberto Duran. Warrior.

    Who did Hagler duck?

The answer must be nobody. Anyone attacking him for not taking the Leonard rematch is being a bit tough...

Floyd Patterson, Cus D'Amato told him not to fight Sonny Liston but of course he did anyway. Joe Frazier went ahead to fight Big George, other than that who could Frazier have ducked.

He didn't need to prove anything else anyway, IMO.

I don't think not taking rematches should count as ducking anyhow. Atleast not in the case of Duran with Bunchanan and Hagler with Leonard. People thought Hagler won the fight, it was close, and they were both near the end of the road. Duran won his match outright, and although maybe Bunchanan deserved a rematch, I wouldn't say Duran ducked anyone ever.

De La Hoya. Fought Leija, Chavez twice (even if he was past his prime), Whitaker, Camacho, Quartey, Trinidad, Mosley twice, Gatti, Hopkins, PBF. Wow, win or lose, are there many better resumes??

I remember at the time of the Leonard fight being announced not being alone in thinking Hagler should of been fighting Graham or Olajide rather than an ancient unproven (at Middleweight) Leonard.

Hindsight does me and my peers no favours, but at the time it seemed a fair take of the situation.
