Manny Pacquiao announced that he's willing to take a smaller purse than Floyd Mayweather in order to make the mega-fight a reality. "Walang problema kahit na mas maliit ang premyo ko. Ang importante ay matuloy lang ang laban," Pacquiao would relay to Manila Bulletin journalist Nick Giongco from his home in General Santos City, which loosely translated means, "I have no problem taking smaller prize. The important thing is making the fight."

manny doesn't think it should be. manny's fans or people who disagree with him should take the issue up with manny.

I think neither is confident in beating the other. I don't remember a fight asking for so many demands its pathetic. This should be 45/45 with the rest to the winner. If Manny really wanted this he'd say 49% for him and 51% for Floyd. Their inflated egos is the problem.

 

Why? That's ******ed. If true that they are actually negotiating right now, then Pacquiao has:

1)Agreed to Floyd's OSDT demands
2)Agreed to Floyd's date of May.5
3)Agreed to Floyd's venue of MGM

so yeah, if it's all true I'd say those are pretty strong indications he "really wants this fight".

I could easily turn that logic on its head and say, If Floyd "really wanted this fight" he would:

1) Drop the OSDT demands
2) Agree to a later date in May
3) Agree to a different venue being built.

Floyd has to ****ing concede on something here -- he hasn't budged an inch on ANYTHING throughout these past few years, if anything moving in the opposite direction.

 

For the sake of this fight happening I think it should be 50/50. Although it is Floyd who carries Pac, so I do understand Floyd wanting the bigger share.

 

Floyd agreed to 10 million per pound..it makes 0 difference-the 50/50 is the right split:thumbsup.

Pac hurt himself by saying he'd take less though:thumbsup

 

This thread is from when Floyd ruined the negotiations, by suddenly deciding no more 50/50 split.

I find it interestin because everyone thought it was a ***** ass move from floyd.

But as usual, floyd convinced his fans it was fair, and now all his *****s will agree.

The same thing will happen when floyd ducks alvarez, floyd will convince his fans that it wasn't a duck and they'll buy it.
