well we still got Chisora, it is unlikely he will win but he still has that chance hopefully he can shake up the division a bit, i dont think he would hold the title that long if he wins Wlad would obviousely beat him.
I'd agree, except: 1: Wilder is being brought along so slowly, Vitali will be in a nursing home before Wilder reaches "contender" status. (whatever that means, exactly.) If Wilder somehow gets there sooner than expected, I guarantee you Vitali would retire rather than face him. Would YOU face that right hand, if you didn't have to?
Yes. On another note, I don't happen to think the division is bad, at all. The fact that the two brothers are freakish blend of size AND skill and use their assets to dominate everyone..........that don't automatically make everyone else bad fighters........that's nonsense. When Lewis was beating everyone and was on a long winning streak, did that automatically reduce the talent level of everyone else? How good Lewis was had NOTHING to do with how good, of not, everyone else was or wasnt'.
Yeah, I think the politics make the division look worse than some of the fighters' quality, a lot of the time.
Hate to hurt your feeling, but "The heavyweight division is better than its ever been!!" Just because you dont like "who" the best are doesnt make it weak. Let's take a look at just a random year. How about 1987?? Ring's Champion in 87: Michael Spinks. Who would you bet on H2H Spinks or Wladimir Klitschko? #1 Mike Tyson. Even at 39yo I wouldnt bet the farm 5'11" 215lb Tyson could best 6"7" 255lb Vitali. #2 Evender Holyfield. Holyfield ran too hot and cold for me to pick him over Povetkin with any conifidence. #3 Tony Tucker. Tucker was a joke! Before he fought Tyson his opponents combined for a 373-298-10 record. He was an overprotected Don King fighter. I would still pick him to beat Adamek, but not by much. #4 Tim Witherspoon. Tim never was impressive, I would pick #4 Eddie Chambers today over him. #5 Pinklon Thomas. By 87 Thomas was a crack addict, no way in hell would I pick him over #5 Helenius today. #6 Carl Williams. Another heavyweight joke! And a bad one at that. Even #6 Dimitrenko today looks as good as this clown. #7 Trevor Berbick. We dont know much about #7 Denis Boytsov today but we do know he can throw a fast hard punch. And what we do know about Berbick was he was a sucker for a fast hard punch. #8 Adilson Rodrigues. #8 Rusland Chagaev and Rodrigues are the same size, the only real difference is Rusland has boxing talent and Adilson didnt. #9 Tyrell Biggs. Both Biggs and today's #8 Arreola were known to cry. Arreola did it after a fight and Biggs did it "in" a fight! Really Biggs was an easy KO for anyone who could fight. #10 Mike Weaver. Many fans only remember "good" Weaver, but forget he had been beaten 14 times by 87. Kubrat Pulev would have no trouble with this shadow of a once good fighter..
You think it's gonna' take Wilder 40 years to develop? Wow, that is being brought up slowly :admin And thanks for the guarantee! Congrats on being the official spokes person for Vitali :good How about we just have Wilder fight Vitali this year and see what happens! :yep
Hey I think the New York Yankees should fold as a franchise. They just win too much :nono Tom Brady of the New England Patriots should retire! Same problem, he wins all the time. BTW How do you grow tanks? Just curious :huh
Why do people make so much of Arreola's tears? He wanted to win, and didn't. I'd rather someone wore their heart on their sleeve than ran for 12 rounds, stayed nice and safe and then blamed a toe injury. Guy's with passion like Arreola's are what make boxing great. Not wannabe tough guys who pose and talk nonsense before and after fights.
Man bubby YDNSAB! Stick to MMA or something, because boxing is way beyond what your little mind can handle:deal
I hope the bros stay at the top of their game for another decade . . . I only wish that the rest of the division would have a clue what to do in the ring! Man, this garbage division is killing boxing
If they weren't around everyone would be comparing blown up cruisers to ATG HWs. Instead, we have two great fighters dominating a division of average fighters. For the record, Tyson and Ali both beat prime Wlad. Lewis vs prime Wlad is a 50/50. Wellhead beats Holyfield or Frazier. Vitali beats them all except Ali.
