It was all over the news and the web, Floyd calls Pacquiao and talks to him on the phone. Everyone thought this would bring us much close to the super-fight, but it doesn’t seem likely.

Pacquiao made the conversation quick, and requested a 50/50 split which is fair, but Floyd sent out an email to ESPN shooting down the 50/50 split:

“He asked about a 50/50 split and I told him no that can’t happen, but what can happen is you can make more money fighting me than you have made in your career. I also let him know I’m in control on my side and he needs to get on the same page as his promoter so we can make this fight happen.”

Basically it’s Floyd’s way of saying “I don’t want the fight.”

All of Floyd fanatics were putting the blame on Pacquiao and Arum and these people are so biased it’s not even funny.

Just because Floyd calls Manny out on Twitter doesn’t mean anything, it’s all a smokescreen to act like he wants the fight. Floyd has done this many times before, just like he lied about there not being a 2nd round of negotiations and decided to go on vacation instead of fighting Manny, and how he said Pacquiao was next and later told he never said that. Floyd is a liar, even the judge who postponed his jail sentence denied insisting on a May 5th date.

A spokeswoman from the judge said, “the judge ordered the defendant (Floyd Mayweather) to surrender at a particular time on June 1st. That was the order.” Nothing in Saragosa’s order precluded Mayweather from boxing on a different date. As you can see only the June 1st surrender date cannot be moved back, but the May 5th date can be moved to late May.

Now Floyd’s lawyer Richard Wright is claiming they can’t move from the May 5th date because they have an obligation to the MGM Grand, well there have been MANY fights that were able to change their date and venue! This is all another way for Floyd to duck Manny Pacquiao. All Floyd is doing is fooling us and using Pacquiao’s name to sell his own fight and to justify him fighting a different opponent by saying “Pacquiao ducked me, that’s why I had to fight this guy on May 5th.” They could easily move from the May 5th date!

Reserving a date means nothing because they have no opponent and no tickets have been sold! If there was an opponent and they sold tickets and reserved rooms there would be a big problem and MGM could lose a lot of money but Floyd has no opponent and no tickets have been sold.

Floyd said that? If so, how blatant of a duck could you be? 50/50 split not fair? Mayweather says he'll make more money fighting him than his entire career. Goes both ways... Mayweather makes the most $ his entire career to fight Pac.

If Floyd was, in fact, unwilling to move off 50/50, he never had any intention of making this fight either, and this has been a lot of public posturing on his part. I'm trying to hold out hope that his isn't the case and that negotiations really are still ongoing, but if not, I will reiterate my statement that NEITHER side really wants this fight, but wants the public to think they do.

I hope that statement is false like his assistant claimed. The longer it goes without Floyd confirming he didn't say it, the more it seems to me that he did and does want more than 50-50.

This isn't about fear. This is about greed and ego. Particularly, Floyd and Arum's greed and egos. I'm certain neither Floyd or Manny are actually sacred to fight each other. Floyd is simply a control freak and Arum hates Floyd.

Therefore, this fight will never happen.
