    Villanueva comes out with a couple jabs, then a flurry to open the round. Villanueva gets another flurry in, and doesn't always land alot, but it keeps ruiz uncomfortable. Villanueva standing to land these flurries, and is starting to hurt ruiz. Wow 4 right hands in a row for Villanueva, then he follows up with another combo, most of this punches landing. Ruiz is in big trouble, Villa is landing almost everything at this point. Ruiz eats another counter right, followed by a few more punches and goes dow for the first time. Ruiz gets up but eats yet another flurry. "Nightmarish second round for Ruiz"

    He beat the dog **** out of Ruis Jr. this round, the right hand kept finding Ruis over and over again, then started catching him heavy with counters off Ruis's wide shots.

    Ruiz is ducking back and away from Villanueva's hammer-like right hands and long left hooks. Ruiz shoulders up against Villanueva low, resting on his hip. Left hand to the face by Ruiz. Uppercut close inside by Ruiz. Villanueva is slapping him on the way out with the left and then tagging him at long range with the hook. Ruiz is desperately trying to maneuver through to lean up against Villanueva and tap him a few times, but Villanueva has the target sighted and is keeping the trigger squeezed. Ruiz forced to flee or duck in to lean up every time Villanueva lands with that right.

    Villanueva opens up the 3rd with another flurry. Ruiz manages to sneak in a right hand, but Villanueva doesn't miss a beat. Villanueva eats a serious left hand from Ruiz, but it doesnt phase him. Villa consistently letting his hands go, and now starting to go to the body. I will be shocked if Ruiz makes it to the end of this one. Ruiz is still in there trying but that's about it for him. Another solid counter right from Villa. Non stop punching in this fight. Right lands right on the ear of Ruiz. Another Villanueva round.

    Ruis looks like he is starting to get get his offense in the game but Villanueva out worked him, fight is heating up.
