I've pretty much on Floyd's side on this. But that argument is made, for all of the effort he is putting in to making this fight happen, there is no way he should let a 50/50 split keep him from walking away from the fight. That's what makes this hard to believe

Actually I thought that Mayweather v Ortiz grossed more than any of Pac's fights except the JMM one. Which again was because of JMM and the latino/mexican buys.

I don't hate Pacquiao, pre DLH I really enjoyed watching him.

Like I said, I think 50/50 should be the split to make he fight happen but Mayweather is right in what he says also. Fighting him will make Pacquiao more money then he ever has before.

Kirk, you posted EXACTLY what I was thinking. Pac said 50-50, then all of Floyd's efforts immediately fizzle out....

Pacquiao had the highest selling PPV of 2008, 2009, 2011. That makes him the PPV KING in 3 of the past 4 years. FACT!

Last year Pac became the FIRST non-heavyweight to have TWO PPVs do a million buys and he also set the RECORD for any fighter with his FOURTH consecutive year having a PPV do 1 million buys

And like you said, he's outsold Floyd every year in PPVs since Floyd came back with both being cash cows, by almost DOUBLE! Pac's last fight outsold Floyd's last fight by 160K, and also Floyd's fight w/ Marquez by 400K.

Floyd and his fans are shameless twits to think he deserves more than 50-50 and to defend him on his claim for it.

    Bwahahaha!

If you think that gbp, who is guaranteeing the 50 million gayweather purse will take a minor role, you know no ****.

Just as top rank guarantees pac's purse.

You would be an idiot to think that gayweather will be doing the hard part.

This whole argument has already been dismissed.

By whom? Don't care how you try and twist things, 50/50 is the ONLY acceptable split for this fight.

Are you ******ed ? Are you reading what I am writing... I have said I think it should be 50/50 to get the fight on.

What I pointed out is that this whole Pacquiao has sold more PPV's is complete **** as he has fought twice as many times. If he fights twice and sells a million each then that's two million - if Floyd fights once and sells 1.4 million its hardly a fair comparison too say Pacquiao has sold more PPV's. Its ridiculous.

Also as far as I am aware Mayweather is still generating more money per fight and in Arum's own words this means he deserves a bigger split - that's just how boxing works. Aside from JMM v Pac which is accepted as being as much to do with JMM as it was Pac. All I am saying is the Mayweather has a point.

And I'm saying he doesn't have a ****ing point. I mean losing the biggest fight of your career because you think you deserve more money than a guy who has comparable numbers in each fight as you? What point?

    Make it easier for you

    2009
    1.Pac-Cotto 1.25M PPV ($70M, $8.8M gate -crowd:15,930)
    2.Floyd-Marquez 1.05M PPV ($52M, $6.8M gate -crowd:13,116)

    2010
    1.Floyd-Mosley 1.4M PPV ($78.3M, $11.1 gate -crowd:15,117)
    2.Pac-Margarito 1.15M PPV ($64M, $7M+ gate -crowd:41,734)

    2011
    1.Pac-Marquez 1.41M PPV ($77.6M, $11.6M gate -crowd:16,368.)
    2.Floyd-Ortiz 1.25M PPV ($78.4M, $9M gate -crowd:14,687)

No matter which way you spin it, Pac has been the PPV King 2 of the last 3 years, and 3 of the last 4 if you include 2008 where he shared top billing in his fight with Oscar when Floyd was retired.

His fights also generated more money, contrary to what you believed. And that's without the Mosley, Clottey, Hatton, DLH fights. So he's absolutely killed Floyd in revenue the past 3-4 years.

Pac had more fans buy his PPVs, more fans pay at the gate to watch him. He's infront by a large number in those categories too

There is absolutely no case, NONE, for Floyd to demand more than 50-50.

I kinda tend to belive that it's all Floyd's fault just because of the fact that Pac generated more money in his recent fights than Floyd + the fact Floyd looked like a dick in the last one + he's going to jail.

Floyd ducks, that's clear for me now.

Anotherfan made a valid point on the whole email ****... how do we no its even valid. Teddy Atlas wasn't believed when he said about the Pacquiao steroid emails but all of a sudden now this is gospel truth Floyd is ducking! On the same logic it is also true Pac is on steroids then.

Also as pointed out Pacquiao already agreed to take a smaller purse so what's the problem... it only shows that Pacquiao was also lying so this whole thing proves absolutely nothing.

Has Floyd came out and denied that email? All we have is that vague tweet by Levi. Floyd's been pretty vocal lately, so the least you'd expect from him is to clearly say that email is bull****. But we've not heard anything.
