    He would lose to Liston.

IMO, Wlad would probably lose to a prime Ali and Foreman.

After that the only ones that would have a chance with Wlad are the big punchers Shavers, Liston and Lyle, although I'd still favour Wlad 3-1 against any of them.

I agree, although I think that when you are comparing boxers from different times, diferent eras of boxing, you always have to adapt the fighters into the present time to make a valid avaliation. So boxers like Patterson and Liston would be taller and heavier today, because people evolved in size from that time to now.

Nobody has mentioned Holmes enough, I think Wlad would beat him in a very competitive bout, winning by a close UD. Holmes lacked the power to put Wlad in trouble, but he would outbox Wlad for about half the fight, in the other half Wlad would be able to produce some knockdowns and that would favour him on the scorecards.

Maybe so, but do you think Wlad is out boxed by Leon Spinks, Jimmy Young, or Kenny Norton?

In the end, I think Wlad's record would be fairly clsoe to Ali's vs the same opponents. Maybe he has 1-2 more losses.

So does a glass chin, as we already know.....WALDO could never have shipped the punishment that Ali took, which is why he'd have been KO'd against some of Ali's better opposition.

And how many big punchers by TODAY'S standards did Liston face? PutWlad against evry ighter Liston beat and Wlad would beat everyone easily as well, unless he has a breakdown like he did against Purrity or Brewster. Liston was obviously discouraged by Ali's punches and while Ali was great in so many ways, he was never much of a puncher. Wlad got up from every knockdown in his career, his chin is mortal but not as bad as some people put it.

I believe both don't match up very well against Wlad. Ali was a tall heavyweight in his time, against a long - armed fighter with skills and an accurate jab like Wlad, dancing and boxing from the outside would be difficult. He doesn't have the power to hurt Wlad and while Ali had a great chin, he was vulnerable to left hooks - if a small Henry Cooper could floor him with a left hook, what would Wlad's left hook do to him?? I don't think Wlad can be outboxed, he can be blitzed like Sanders showed, but Ali doesn't have the right tools for that strategy.

Foreman has the power to KO Wlad, but he delivered these clubbing short punches, he wasn't a skilled straigh puncher to land on a much taller guy with a reach advantage and good footwork. A shorter fighter will need very good speed and /or skill to beat Wlad, Foreman didn't have it.

How so? How exactly would a 5'9 fighter, whose style depends on taking three shots to deliver one pummel Wlad? Frazier was relaitvely easy to hit, Foreman who is far less accurate than Wlad could do it, Wlad could easily land on Frazier. Frazier matched up well with the Ali of the 7O's who didn't have his otherworldly footspeed anymore and didn't have the power to stop Frazier.
He wouldn't match up well against a power punching big man who is more accurate and bigger thn Foreman.

Frazier is 5'11 and a half, not 5'9. If he was that small he would have looked like a walking boulder. His fight with Foreman in '73 was a example of a out of shape partied out fighter who looked like a shell of the guy who fought Ali and Quarry. He showed nothing of the instinctive movement and close pragmatic stalking. He stood the perfect distance from Foreman's right hand and ate everything. The only impressive thing about any of the performances in that fight was Frazier's desire to get back up.

Wlad KO Patterson - floyd would look like a midget

WLAD KO Liston - Liston would **** himself looking accross the ring at someone so much bigger than him

Foreman KO Wlad - Foreman's wild punching would upset Wlad's stand-up European style. Foreman would eat a few punches but he had a great chin.

    WLAD DESTROY NORTON -

Wlad KO Frazier - size a factor here. Joe would be too small to wade in close enoguh to crack Wlad

    From my point of view:

Putting things into perspective, if Ali was fighting today's time he would be a little taller, a little heavier and a little stronger. Something like 6'4, 220lbs. Same with Foreman, who'd be 6'4, 230lbs.

That's not such a big difference in size to Wlad, he wouldn't be fighting a small HW like Byrd, Brewster or Brock.

Ali's skills were probably the best ever, much better than Wlad's. He was probably the fastest HW ever as well, great chin, incredible determination, superb footwork, amazing stamina and uderrated power, as shown in the Foreman bout. At his prime he was amazing.

He took all those bombs from Foreman who's the hardest puncher in history, so he could surely take Wlad's.

An encouter with Wlad would be very competitive, with knockdowns from both sides, but in the end I think Ali's footwork, quickness, cleverness, mental game, determination, would be just too much for Wlad to handle and he would outwork Wlad to an UD.

To back me up on this idea, Wlad hasn't fought anybody till now, not even remotely close to Ali's level, that can prove he has enough to keep up with Ali.

Wlad is only proven against the current weak HW class, he is unproven against real talent.

Against Foreman I agree with you that Wlad would outwork him, but I doubt he could put Foreman away early. Foreman would keep pushing forward against Wlad, taking away his jab and while taking hard hits, he too would land one of his hard bombs soon, which is all he would need to finish Wlad, whose fragile chin could never take Foreman's punches.

That's how I see it, my prediction, but I do see Wlad having a legit chance against them.

About Frazier, in that case I can't see any way Wlad would lose that bout.

Nope, I just see clearly that every sport in the world evolves over time and there seems to be no reason why boxing should be different.

If Wlad melts down like he did against Purrity or Brewster, any mediocre heavyweight beats him. He had these two total blackout losses in his career and that does impact his standing in resume but not his ability H2H on his best night.

Wlad can be beaten on his best day, but it would take either a package like Corrie Sanders of height, speed, power and style, or someone like Tyson with exceptional speed and power or someone like Lennox Lewis who is similar to Wlad as a fighter and athlete.
