For the european title. Good news for Skelton, after losing to Chagaev gets another "big" fight and not vs Williams or Harrison again. I actually think Skelton might win this. This content is protected
Me too, Skelton UD12 or even possibly a late overwhelming TKO. I quite like Krasniqi, but I don't think he's got much left. Skelton is a brawling tiring type of fighter and at this point in his career I don't think Krasniqi has the gas for this.
It is good news, and I think after a strong enough showing against Chagaev (though he did a lot wrong), that if he wins this, then Skelton could find himself a sought-after test of world class.
How did it come to this? Wasn't Dimitrenko the number one ranked and mandatory to the champion Virchis? Virchis vacated, so Dimitrenko should be the one fighting somebody for the belt.
Dimitrenko was the mandatory but was getting considerably less money than lousy Krasniqi for the fight. That's ridiculous, it was not a dumbass move. In fact, both are managed by the same company. I think it was more of a move to put Krasniqi back into the spotlight rather then retire him for good with an ugly loss to Dimitrenko.
1. Noone wants to put Krasniqi back into spotlight. Everyone knows that he's done. 2. This fight was a big chance for Dimitrenko to become a name in Germany. He wasted it. That's just stupid. A win over Krasniqi would mean millions and millions in the future - but he (or his manager) insist on a few thousand euros now. Again - as unitas pointed out - one of the all time dumbass moves. 3. I'd be surprised if Krasniqi reached the 7th round against Skelton.
