this is what bothers me about boxing. arreola says he wants a top opponent in his next fight, and he's fighting an unrecognizable guy in eric molina? not a top opponent.

Not surprising at all. Typical move from Arreola's handlers, they didn't put him in against anyone decent the last time to earn a title shot and with another shot obviously on the horizon there was no way they were going to put him in with anyone that even had half a chance of beating him.

Molina's record is diabolical. He has only faced 6 guys with a winning record. His 2 best wins were against the 14-1 Browning who got knocked out by a cruiser weight and the 25-6 Holguin who isn't even a heavyweight. He fought at light heavy in his last fight and has been knocked out by a middleweight.

How on earth did either of these guys get ranked high enough to even get a sniff at a title shot is beyond me.

I'm actually semi interested in this, this chap seems a step up from the usual dross Arreolla fights.

    His last fight.

Fair enough he hasn't really fought anybody of note but at least he looks hungry and can bang.

Arreola is the modern Tua- had great potential, but inabillity to cotrol his eating and weight gain, and lack of dedication in the gym keep him from ever reaching his full potential.

I was just talking about Arreola in my Rodriguez thread. People talk about how el Nino has never fought anyone, but Owen Beck and Manny Pucheta and Daniel Bispo are all about the same level as the Clevel guys Arreola beats.

Rodriguez continues to call out Arreola, but once again, Nipples finds the easy way out.

Like you said.......Perez would be happy to take that shot, but Nipples goes for a bum that Perez or Rodriguez would starch as fast or faster than Nipples will.:rofl:rofl:rofl
