True enough. TBH the ones I would be close to 100% sure to have taken steroids are the ones that have retired but come back. Nothing can stop them using what ever they want then. I would be surprised if Mayweather (ironically) and Vitali didn't juice up when "retired". When so many millions are at stake it seems quite likely.

That is a joke of a statement.

The human body is a machine. If they REGULARLY gain baselines on the stats of the machine, i.e., hemocrit, testosterone, etc... they can EASILY tell if there has been tampering.

A guy doesn't magically get a spike to 5 times the testosterone level of an adult male in training camp. You don't need to know the substance to call that BS out.

Most boxers are cycling. It increases performance slightly.. not much though. Millions of americans take roids. From amateur athletes to basci everyday gym rates. It WILL NOT make you an elite athlete. If that was the case. We would have a million Bernard hopkins. We dont though you know why? It doesnt make you an elite athlete.

I believe so. But I think a lot of people are. IDK why people get all worked up on the possibility that a fighter might use PEDS, I mean how many fighters get busted for illegal drugs, for domestic violence and when they loose a fight can not even admit they lost or make excuses ect. but somehow they wont take PEDS if it helps them train harder and recover faster? laughable.

I think especially within the last 10 years we have a ton of fighters past 35 performing at the elite level, I dont think its coincidence or protein shakes making this happen.

I think you are exaggerating to the other extreme. There is a reason why output caps can be exploded using steroids. Steroids however do NOT increase skill.

The problem in Boxing is that output is as much of the game as skill. A lesser fighter can beat a more skilled fighter with pressure. A skilled fighter can nullify a lesser fighter with skill. In either case the increased amount of "output" can make the crucial difference.

Steroids don't make the fighter, but it is worth the discussion.

Why would they have to be retired to take them? They can take whatever the **** they want while training because they know there is only a test right after the fight and they know how long it takes for different drugs to clear. Boxing is probably easier than any other sport to use PEDS due to the weak tests.

Ive taken them... People exagerate it. Pro hormones are as strong as many steroids yet for years many people considered them natural. People dont have a clue when it comes to cycling. yet thye wanna crucify an athelete for taking them. Im leavin this thread though i dont wanna be banned. I agree with you though

There's just zero risk plus the tell tale sighs when using like extreme muscle mass gain inside a month, acne and sudden hair loss aren't going to be as noticeable.

Someone go on a course of HGH for the next 6 months and then comeback and say we are stupid accusing athletes of being on them. The benefits of HGH are immense!
