Anyone find it strange Nonito Donaire was given the nod as number 1 rated Super Bantamweight on Boxrec.com? I mean I think he will eventually become the number 1 super bantam, but I do not see how he can be number 1 without even having a fight at super bantamweight.

My faith in boxrec as a source that's never, ever wrong has suffered a big hit with this news

At one point boxrec had Archie Moore as the best p4p fighter of all time. Don't take their rankings seriously.

I am sure he will. I believe he would destroy Rigondeaux.

It's cause he's scheduled to fight at that weight, the boxrec database automatically rated him in that weight, unfortunately that's how it works.

What is up with everyone overrating Rigondeaux. Lets face it Rico Ramos was only a champion, because he caught lightening in a bottle and hit Shimoda with a strong hook. Ramos barely won a round in the fight he won his belt, he was being thoroughly outboxed.

Shimoda was outscoring Ramos but he wasnt giving him a beating.Rigondeaux got Ramos on his bike from rd 1 until KO him later.

It's bases on accomplishments across the board. They're based on a points system and Donaire's accomplishments at the earlier weights outweigh Nishioka's according to them.

It shows the points he has accumulated in a "P4P" sense. Rather than just what he has done at that weight.

He is a beast regardless of his rank! People would be bitching more if he got ranked 3-4-5. The dude has True Skills and can bang with any little guy out there!
