    Not really sure of the situation with Showtime, but either way i hope he fights Froch next.

    Calzaghe didnt have a passport. He didnt want to face the great phantom even though Ottke was the undisputed no. 1. In that regard Bute is like Calaghe. Why leave your homebase for a risky fight when you have a good gig going at home?

    So look for Bute to fight one from the IBF top 10 if he cannot get Froch. That way he'll make lots of cash with little risk. Just like stay-at-home Joe did. Hell Bute might reach the same number of defenses and the same quality there-off.

    Why the hell not Ward?? Any reasons why Ward don't want an easy 3rd belt...or the risk is way up there to end-up without belts???

    Ward fans are afraid that if Ward beats Bute, he won't get the praise/value he should (only the IBF belt). Needs Bute to beat a top guy to increase his 'reward'.

    Truth is, Dirrell vs Bute is the same god damn thing. If Bute fights Dirrell now and beats him, he gets jack **** for it. :lol:

    He got high on his Super Six Champ WBA Super World Champion WBC World Champion status, decided Bute needed "to beat somebody".

    The latest article over at the Scene talks about Ward and 'moving parts'. Those moving parts he's talking about are Bute/Froch/Kessler making moves... which makes me wonder if he'll just wait for everybody to settle their fights before announcing his mandatory defense against The Dog... due for April, that is..?

    We need something like...

    Bute-Froch / Kessler-Stieglitz / Ward-Tony Dirrell

    Winner of Bute-Froch vs Winner of.. well, Andre Ward ....while Kessler sits out injured from his KO of Stieglitz

    Winner vs last hurrah Kessler.

    its funny how that interview got lost in translation. what is the update on kessler recuparation. why doesint bute singh with sho for one fight deal and still face froch, do you think they would go for it?

    I'm thinking this is all a big play by Showtime to force Lucian into signing another multifight deal.

    IMO, he should take the deal and sign with Froch. By beating froch in April, he could then go on to defend against Steiglitz/Kessler or Balzay or even Abraham in the summer.
    By fall, Dirrel should have another 2-3 tuneups under his belt and be ready for a late fall showdown with Bute.
    If Bute can get Froch, Balzay, and Dirrel by winter his resume would be near that of Ward's and if he could get the winner of Steig/Kessler before Ward does, he'd essentially trump Ward acheivements in the s6 and leap over him in the p4p.

    Now, if only the players would join the game.:rofl:rofl

    dirrell vs bute . see if dirrell is down . i doubtt dirrell will take the fight . seems like he would duck him at the moment . i think andre wants to fight another bum . but a bum that is a step up from the last bum he fought .

    maybe anthony dirrell but he will duck bute to . as he should he aint ready n wouldnt be managed properly if he took a huge step up like that.

    sense the froch fight didnt go through lets hope bute vs dirrell happens . if not maybe bute can fight abraham .

    Froch is fighting in Nottingham on May5th & then again in the summer.

    If Bootay wants to fight Froch he'll need to travel.
