In the time since Fury - at only TWENTY years old - beat a game McDermott i think your the only person who thinks he did beat big jon that night. Fury is vacating his belts now so he doesnt have to fight Price, even Fury knows he cant live with him. Blasting Mcdermott away in 2 minutes has imo damaged Price's career (short term) becasue no one in the right mind (chisora, fury etc) will want anything to do with him now, his power is scary
this is exactly what I feel. price is very accurate and sound technically. Fury finds new flaws every fight. Left hooks, right hands, jabs... you throw it, he'll eat it flush.
I think Price is more skilled, more disciplined, so I'm going with him. I wouldn't be surprised if Fury won though - some unanswered questions about Price. This would be an interesting battle of the giants, I hope it happens...
Price knocked down Fatboy with an uppercut whilst backing up and also with a shot that landed on the glove. There is definitely power there... Imagine if he landed a flush right hand, the same as what put Dallas down, on Fury's chin. It'd be gameover, Fury know's it and so does fat Mick. That's why we're hearing rumblings of Fury vacating rather than facing his mandatory.
Because of the procession of inferior fighters who have lined up in front of Price in the past we have no idea what his stamina is like...Can he go the full 12 throwing in every round?, does his power last the distance or is he merely a 2-3 round banger before that undoubted power dips?, will he physically fall apart after 5 or 6 rounds in a tough fight?. I'm amazed at everyones confidence in him given the number of important and unanswered questions that we have.
did Fury really win though? In the rematch with McDermott it took Fury 8 rounds to do the job also. David Price got the job done in under 1 minute 30 seconds. Big John is no push over. And out of those 4 fighters you mention, Fury got dropped by Pajkic, and hurt by Firtha, whilst Fury had the benefit in both of these fights of soft stoppages. Also you mention Chisora who was was grossly out of shape in the Fury fight, so would be a little bit hypocritical to discredit Prices win and Credit Fury with a win over Chisora who many saw as grossly out of shape for this fight. Fury got dropped by a right hand which he is open for all night, this is Davids most powerful punch.
