Wait, is it a triple-header on February 4th or just a doubleheader?? HBO only lists Chavez Jr. vs. Rubio and Donaire vs. Vazquez Jr. on its website. If Martirosyan vs. Lowry isn't even being televised this matchmaking makes NO sense. What does VM gain by obliterating an old man with nobody even seeing it outside the Alamodome?
I was never really impressed with Martirosyan, he's like Amir Khan with more power, so besides beating Chavez Jr.'s ass in sparring, he hasn't really done anything, oh and beating Ouma
Just to keep him busy and not ring rust him. he could be fighting for a title this year He is high on the rankings.
It seems like Martiroysan is staying busy while waiting for the winner of Kirkland-Molina, not a bad idea if he actually goes through with that fight. Martiroysan's schedule hasn't exactly been a tough road so far. He has that nice win over Greene and beat a few tough veterans like Ouma, Roman, and Guiterrez but all those guys were faded by the time Vanes beat them. If he faces the Kirkland-Molina winner after that then thats a tough fight against a top contender. If he skips out on that fight then he's going to be known more for the fighters he's avoided instead of the ones he's faced.
