“If he doesn’t gain a lot of weight when he starts his strength and conditioning, we might come down to 160,” Garcia said. “We’re planning on 168 and that would be perfect, but if as the weeks go by, we see the weight coming down, we’re doing 160 again.”

So Kelly Weighed 173. Thats only 13 pounds away! Man Would that be some **** if he really does return to 160... I see him KO'ing People like he used to!

I hope he is back because he was fun to watch but more than the weight issue he must overcome the mental issue.Really hope we get Pavlik back.

wow you really do love Kelly Pavlik. With that said, I think he could beat every middleweight champion right now after 2 tune ups.

I think he dominates the division! He might get his rematch with Sergio!

Lol Sergio doesn't need to rematch Pavlik, It will be interesting to see how much the Ghost has left. Because he sure doesn't have any business at 168...

It needs to be at 160 really, the guys at 168 will be too strong for him physically.

    MW he's a physical beast.

Yea like somebody mentioned if he's not ready mentally he'll never be ready. I see him having better chances at 160 than 168 and it has nothing to do with weight but quality of opponents, even tho Martinez and Golovkin can give any 168lber a run for their money. Sturm, Barker, or McEwan would be good stern tests for Kelly. Really needs to get his confidence back.

Not much of a height difference, really.

Froch walks around 168-170, doesn't he?

I think he would carry the added muscle well. Would make big bucks at 168, and it's not like they have Sergio like handspeed either... well except for Ward. And Bute's sneaky left uppercut to orthodox fighters.

    :D

He might strain himself making 160, if 173 is a fit/camp level figure. Not impossible, I'd just prefer seeing him vs the competition at SMW. Abraham can't make 160 anymore, I'd love to see Pav smoke the **** out of AA with the right hand at range.

    :bbb

    Let him fight JCC jr.

They wont make it though. A win and he could get a big fight at 168

If Kelly can make 160 he stands a better chance of holding onto the belt than JCC jr. I can see Top Rank making the fight and the WBC putting of Sergio until afterwards. They screwed Sergio more than once so what is one more time to the WBC?
