I just wish the pac fight would have happened in 2009. No doubt Floyd is great. He beat Hatton, Harris allowed the worst champion in the history of boxing to get the title, Tszyu was always slow and had some unavenged bad losses on top of his inactivity (anytime Judah is your best win you have to take it with a grain of salt), so I didn't really think those fights would have added anything to Floyd's legacy like the Cotto/Pac wins would.

And I bet you think Floyd had nothing to do with all the big fights not happening for him. Floyd has more excuses when he reached WW than he has good wins.

Actually the biggest knock on floyd's legacy is dropping rounds to Judah, now that I think about it.

That was just fantasy as its not realistic for everyone one of those fights to have worked out that way. Mosley leaving 135 to fight Hoya alone put a ****** wrench in that off the bat as the next best time for them to fight was 06 which he turned down again and then 07 but that would have eliminated a Paul Williams fight in that. As did Hatton turning down the fight in 05.

no point in arguing wit floyd haters. they look at his undefeated record and assume hes the reason for EVERY fight not happening

 no he wont, pac will be remember by getting schooled by marquez in a robbery. he will be remember as the ducker and the guy who never could solve marquez AT 38 YEARS OLD. floyd is #1 by default after that ass whoopin marquez gave pac. deal wit it

Any version of Mayweather beats any version of Cotto. Back then, it was actually Cotto's team who wouldn't let Miguel fight him.

Kostya would be an interesting match-up.

The thing is, these IDIOTS love it when people blame Floyd for all them not happening. It allows them to spew the bull**** and venom at anyone who says that. Can bet their EYES light up with HATER!! It justifies them to say whatever they want in defense of theitr hero.

Regardless of who's fault, the thing is, there are WAAY too many names missing from Floyd's resume. And that's already etched in the books. That's for certain.

:huhHow would that eliminate anyone? You post as if Floyd fought one certain guy, the next is out of the question. It's the same with the argument that SOO many floyd fanboys repeat, "If he fought Margarito, he'd miss out on DLH..." That **** makes zero sense. :patsch

Promoters def weren't lining there fighters up to face a fighter who makes everyone look like B level club fighter especially when he wasn't a PPV attraction yet. From 1999 to mid 2006 Bob Arum was Mayweather's promoter. It was up to Arum to secure those fights.

Really? That is what Pac will be remember for? For all his accomplishments, for all his great wins, that's what he'll be rememberd for in your opinion? That is one of the dumbest ****in statements made. :patsch You say something like this, then expect to have your opinion taken serious? But hey, the Floyd fanboys on this site will think it's brilliant.

And it really shows your level of intelligence of the sport as a whole. :-(

Example: If Mayweather fought Mosley in 1999 he wouldn't have to worry about fighting him again in 2007 so Paul Williams can take that slot. I was just looking at a scenario to fit everyone one of those fighters in. If you can think of a better senario to fit everyone in including guys like Judah and Baldomir and Gatti since I still would have liked to see those fights then by all means post one up.

what? winning two bogus catchweight titles? manny needs a win over floyd more than floyd needs a win over pacquiao. floyd will be remembered as being undefeated and pac will be remember as ducking if the fight doesnt happen.
