[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4-xFzLxM-I[/ame] The Mexican Boxing God has spoken. Good to see a highly respected Mexican in the boxing world not let his patriotism blind him.:smoke
There are many things involve in the Mexican boxing, firts you have to see who are in the "meeting" I can see people from Televisa and Tv Azteca which are the big TV sponsors for the boxing in mexico, most of the mexican boxers if not all, belongs to any of those two big Tvs. Canelo belongs to Televisa, Chavez family belongs to Azteca, Rubio belongs to azteca etc. and they only transmit their figths in the mexican open tv. each mexican boxer is sponserd for these tvs. What they area doing is analysing how can they make more money with his boxers. this is unusual becouse they dont meet in public is like having a meeting with GBP and Arum
its true tho. mexican fighters are nothing like they were in the 90's and black american fighters are nothing like they were in the 80's. sad
Yeah, I hear you on that, I think the promoters and the boxing media over hype fighters and make them bigger than what they are. A lot of todays champions would be only contenders some years back. Its not to say that they are not good but niether are they the super fighters or atgs or hof fighters that people make them out to be. Maybe if they get rid of a lot of those fake ass title belts and stop letting these so-called TV boxing comentators (HBO) and bull**** promoters dictate what a quality fighter is. Who in the **** ever heard of a champion not ready to take on all comers. Jim Lampley is the ****ing worse with that overhype. Pac is a dam good fighter but he is a victim of that overhype and sensationalisem and now the truth is comming home to roost on his ass. Mexican fighters has always had true grit and a wicked body attack and they still do, its just that they are getting moved ahead too fast. The same with Black fighters. A fighter does not mature well when that **** happens and his boxing career is shortend because of it.
Amen to that. I still have faith even tho we going thru the dark ages of boxing right now. Nobody wants to fight each other its sad.
wow... hearing eric speak from his heart and NOT through an interpeter , gave me mad chillz!!PASSIONATE AND RIGHT ON... he has the WORD and VALUE of a true SPIRIT champion...wow... listen up KIDS!! daddy speaking!!
A translation would be nice. At the start he seemed pissed off by what the guy next to him was saying had his hand up like he wanted to speak.
