"Hay un país árabe que pretende la pelea de Pacquiao con Mayweather, y se la va a llevar, y es Qatar", comentó Sulaimán a la prensa en la capital mexicana al hablar de las aspiraciones de esta nación por ser la sede de uno de los combates más esperados del año. El dirigente del CMB precisó que no hay tiempo para que esta pelea se celebre antes de noviembre debido a que Mayweather deberá pagar una pena de tres meses de prisión. Sulaimán consideró que estas situaciones sobre la pelea de Pacquiao y Mayweather son un buen ejemplo de lo difícil que es sacar adelante muchas cosas que tiene el boxeo actual. "El mundo del boxeo está muy revuelto, hay problemas por todos lados", comentó Sulaimán sobre las complicaciones para organizar la Pacquiao-Mayweather y asuntos como las críticas a los mexicanos Julio César Chávez y Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez. Sulaimán también se ha visto involucrado en la situación del argentino Sergio "Maravilla" Martínez, que ha criticado al CMB por no darle la ocasión de pelear por el título mediano ante Chávez por un marcado favoritismo hacia el mexicano. TBH I don't give a **** where it happens as long as it happens. These are World Championship fights and should be fought all around the world. Boxing shouldn't just revolve around the U.S. That is the problem with fighters that are not American, they are reject because of "fan base" in the U.S. But back to Manny and Floyd, as long as they fight I don't care where they fight at!
