So it's about how you personally feel about Khan, that's determining whether a really good, high-in-demand fight should take place again. The benefits include:

• Another potential FOTY
• Peterson to make more money than against anyone else (bar JMM or Pac)
• More hype than any other fight (bar JMM or Pac)
• A chance to settle the score after a close, controversial split decision.
• More credit to be gained for both guys, should they win.

Disliking a fighter because he's a **** is fine. Because let's be honest, Khan has indeed been a grade A **** since the loss. But don't let it get in the way of good fights, man. I mean, I despise Brandon Rios, but if you ask me for a list of fantasy fights to be currently made, he'd be mentioned four or five times; including those against my favourite fighters where he'd make tons of money. Same thing with Mayweather, Donaire, etc. I'd much rather pass up on the chance to see them get "annoyed", if it meant seeing them in good, exciting scraps. Too often we complain about fighters not taking the best fights, yet here you are, preferring them to do the opposite, just to satisfy your dislike for a fighter? :verysad

 

If Khan had successfully stolen back the belts, outside the ring, he would not have given Petersen a rematch. He'd have come out with some **** like, 'There's no point! I'd only beat him easier next time!'

Which kind of requires you to give your personal opinion, does it not? An opinion that would invoke personal feelings and preferences. It no longer becomes about Peterson when you let your own personal dislikes enter the equation.

A better question would be: 'Looking at it from Peterson's perspective, should he give Khan a rematch?'

In which case, yes, it would be better for him to give Khan a rematch if fights against JMM, Pacquiao, and even Bradley, aren't readily available. Reasons for doing so, are already given in the previous post. A Khan fight is also high-risk and high-reward. It's better for him to risk it against a top 140 name; where even if he loses, he'll still maintain a lot of credibility and have other fights to turn to. Risking it and losing against two guys who have been on a downward spiral for quite a while, would be a disaster.

For the money it would be hard to turn down and the cards are stacked in Petersons corner as the champion and I feel that Peterson fights Khan better this time

 

Peterson is not a well known name and will struggle to get a big payday. By rematching Khan he is promised 50% of all revenues including UK ppv which would be quite a bit. Plus it'll be on home turf in the US. It's really a no brainer to be honest as Peterson doesn't have an oponent that will offer him that much revenue. But if he did he would get beaten and he has the best chance of beating Khan than someone like Pac.

Also if he beats Khan again at a top venue like Caesars Palace, his stock will rise considerably and fighters like Pac and Floyd would be more willing to fight him offering a big purse....

Now the question is does Peterson believe that he can beat Khan........?

 

i believe there was enough controversy to yeild a second fight. but the because of the way khan has behaved, id tell him to go to hell. also khan would smash peterson in the rematch so id stay well clear of him

 

I'd make him ask nicely, in public. Getting punched repeatedly in the head for 12 rounds didn't seem to humble him.

 

I'd fight Pacquaio or Marquez over Khan
