Dude, its 2012. Manny got his education long time ago while he's not training. He took university level classes

same can't be said for Floyd. Seriously, who's made better decisions in life and in their personal lives?

gonna have to call u out on your math

whos to say the ppv is $50? for example Pacs last fight was 55 standard, 65 HD, and we can estimate 1.4M buys. All the math in place, $60x1.4 = $84M, 84 x .45 = 37.8M, minus JMM's 5M guarantee = 32.8M minus Arums raping 27%: 32.8x.73 = roughly $24M gross. Thats where it seems people are getting their numbers, but then you take taxes and miscellaneous expenses such as trainer/conditioner's fees, travel/camp expenses, etc.

Floyd's "$40M paydays" are also grossly overestimated yet people often take that for granted.

What about fighters % of PPV buys, isn't that negotiated with the networks and doesn't that come out of the networks take?

No only after the networks take their share, both camps divvy up the rest which depends on if there's a guarantee or if it is percentage based

Usain Bolt ranks higher than Money? Weird. I'm also surprised to see so many NFL dudes, like Charles Woodson and Michael Turner so much higher, it makes sense since they get paid per game, but still... just surprised Usain Bolt is higher. World's fastest man, just didn't know track and field had that much bank. It does though.

I can't believe this **** has 12 pages. 60/40 to the winner and that should clear up all the money issues. Floyd is doing this to get under Manny's skin but he should be asking for 60/40 to the winner. They all are full of **** and Arum is the worst one of all. Crazy that some of you Pac and Floyd fans are debating and arguing over this.

Floyd's an idiot too, but not such an idiot that he stills get ripped off by Bob Arum for 75% of his purse like Manny. I'm not sure Manny can actually count

    :deal

    to *****s / floydettes:

don't look at the boxer's take home pay, look at the total revenue generated by the fight.

so what if arum is getting too much money from pac?

Obviously from your avatar , your looking at this emoionally instead of rationally ..... what Floyd is doing is basically showing the public that Pac is no where the earner (PPV wise or purse wise) that Floyd is, so he basically letting us know that Pac would get more money fighting Floyd, than fighting anybody else and he really has no business demanding 50/50 based off his previous efforts. Not saying Pac isn't a great earner and attraction, obviously he is, but he is not on Floyd's level when it comes to income generated in the sport. And while Floyd may not get as much money from another opponent as he would from Pac, the difference wouldn't be that much. I mean this guy made $25 million fighting Ortiz, before the PPV and paid Ortiz his $2.5 million guarantee out of his own expenses! Thats power man!

Come on people this is business ... Geesh!.....

Nobody cares about how much money Manny makes. The issue is that Arum makes more than Manny does and Manny doesn't have a clue if he is getting all his money which is the reason he hired VisionQuest. The dude doesn't even have bout contracts and Koncz tells the accountant that they use what to put for Manny's taxes.

If you think Arum is really paying Manny 16 million off of PPV alone then I have a skyscraper to sell you along with a pro football team.

nobody cares? but that is what floyd and his *****s are holding on to why manny doesn't deserve 50/50 split.

why can't floyd just take 50% and let manny and arum take care of the other 50%?

This report is based off money made in the year along with endorsements and things like that. So lets, Floyd had one fight lsat year and generated $40 million according to reports, no endorsements, jobs, appearances, nada

Pac on the other hand fought twice last year, has an endoresemnt by Nike, makes several singing performances throughout the year (in which he gets paid), movies (not sure if he did one last year) and is a politicla figure in the phillipines. Of course he made more money in the year. And much power to him for being invlovd in so may avenues, I can defintely respect him capitolizing off his fame and success ....but in terms of just boxing, on a per fight basis, its a no brainer that Floyd is the top earner
