Actually I personally favor Bute over Ward and Dirrell, just most don't. Ward's earned a higher ranking than Bute for now.

Bute is low reward?! A big payday plus bragging rights in beating a clearly talented unbeaten belt hOlder?! I wouldn't call him low reward...

No way Taylor takes a fight with Bute right now. He knows he's not ready and will take a few fights before, likely, challenging Martinez in about a year for the 160 title.

I think Bute-Dirrell is a very good fight and would love to see it. Ideally, Dirrell would squeeze another fight in before taking on Bute since he's fought 2 rounds since Abraham and that was almost 2 years ago. I really don't know who wins a Bute-Dirrell fight, thats a 50/50 fight to me. Hope it happens.

taylor's at 160 and he should stay there if he knows what's good for him. a loss to lucian bute for some good money doesn't make sense compared to good money for a martinez or chavez clash that he can potentially win.

Bute makes pac and floyd look like a fearless warrior if they choose taylor. I hope taylor at this stage knows what hes capable of, and realize 160 is his best weight and hes not ready to be fighting top fighters yet.

Either Dirrel or Taylor will test Bute like he has never been tested even considering Glen Johnson, but I still favour Bute in those fights.

Taylor`s last fight at 160 so no Taylor and if Dirrell had really a traumatism, can we say that he is not ready to fight a 12 round with an undefeated?

But everybody knows that his trauma was BS, dr Shaw-Hee was BS; Showtime knows it.
The problem with Dirrell is clearly his mental attitude and I think Showtime takes a risk if they want him, almost after they had blacklisted him for his ducking with Ward. We don't know if Dirrell is now enough strong mentally to involve in a big fight because by TWO TIMES, acting a traumatism and ducking a fight just before, this really skilled fighter had made BIG BULLSHITT.

It 's difficult to understand Showtime 's politics because Dirrell is less known than Froch, maybe in U.S. too. Buté-Froch, with the rivalry and the clash of style, could had been a great fight, a FOTY candidate.

One hypothesis, I think that some people at Showtime will prefer an american champ
instead a canadian champ for their almost american audience and they think that Dirrell or Hopkins will be more difficult for Buté instead of Froch, on the road for Ward.

I'd be satisfied with Bute vs Anthony Dirrell.

Bute - Dirrell is a great idea. Dirrell beat Froch anyway I reckon.

Alot of People (Bute fans mostly) are sleeping on Andre Dirrell. Dirrell is a good fighter and is a TOP athlete. This is no walk in the park for Bute and i actually think Dre wins a UD in this fight!

I would have mad respect win/lose if Bute fights Dre!

If Bute fights Taylor... just wow...

Aside from the obvious Ward, Froch, Kessler, or Dirrell options, I'd MUCH rather see Bute re-match Bika or even face Adonis Stevenson.

Andre is definitely faster than Bute and would be Bute's first legitimate test. The difference to me is that Andre would need to fight a near perfect fight while Bute has the possibility of landing a shot or two which would really hurt Andre.

I'd love to see this fight.

Taylor vs Bute is a horrible fight

Bute vs Dirrell is a great fight but not better than Bute vs Froch....can't understand why they turned down Froch at showtime. They must fear a loss to Bute would mean the end of Froch as a legit headliner on Showtime

I Think Taylor Vs Bute Is a Great Fight after Taylor gets 2 more wins or soo! Taylor has hand speed and boxing skills. As long as he Paces himself, he could go 12 rds easy!
