Interbox is not returning calls. Froch? May 5th, possible options Pavlik and.. Mendy!

    Donc, on oublie Bute-Hopkins. Et il semble qu’on devra aussi oublier Bute-Froch!

    Selon des médias anglais, le clan Froch travaille présentement sur un plan de rechange. Froch pourrait être de retour sur le ring le 5 mai. Il aimerait se battre devant les siens, à Nottingham, en Angleterre.

    According to English media, team Froch is working on another plan now. Froch could be back in the ring on May 5th. He'd like to fight at home, in Nottingham, England.




    Pour l’occasion, Froch serait opposé à un boxeur classé dans le top 10 de la division des 168 livres. Les noms de Kelly Pavlik et Jean Paul Mendy ont été avancés.

    Qui sera le prochain adversaire de Bute? La liste commence à être mince! Sans compter que les positions d’aspirants no1 et 2 à sa couronne sont présentement vacants!

    RDS a tenté de joindre Interbox pour avoir plus de détails, mais nous n’avons obtenu aucun retour d’appels.



    -Froch would be fighting a SMW top 10 ranked opponent. Names like Kelly Pavlik and Jean Paul Mendy have been brought up.

    Who will be Bute's next opponent? The list is starting to shrink quite a bit! Especially considering the #1 and #2 IBF spots are currently vacant.

    RDS tried to contact Interbox in order to obtain further details, but they haven't returned our calls.

    What does that mean?

    . Bute était justement le premier choix de Hopkins mais il semble que le protégé d’Interbox ne souhaitait pas un affrontement face au vétéran boxeur. Pourquoi? Probablement parce que Hopkins fait mal paraître ses rivaux. Hopkins était même prêt à baisser son poids à 171 livres pour se mesurer à Bute.

    C’est la raison pour laquelle Golden Boy Promotions(qui gère la carrière de Hopkins) s’est finalement tourné vers Chad Dawson. Le combat revanche aura lieu le 28 avril, à Atlantic City.

    Good eye. :yep :lol:

    Apparently Bute was Hopkins' first choice but it seems Bute didn't want to fight the veteran. Why? Probably -[see, PROBABLY]- because Hopkins makes his opponents look real bad. Hopkins was even willing to do down to 171 for a Bute fight.

    So let's see.

    Ward declines a Bute fight.
    Showtime declines Bute-Froch.
    Bute declines a Hopkins fight.

    Would love to see Pavlik get his confidence back with a tuneup and then take on Froch in early fall, Hell of a ****ing fight.
