Lets say if the Mayweather vs Cotto fight does happen @ 147, if Floyd does win the fight, will it be a better win than Pac vs Cotto @ 145?

Fighting Cotto at 154lbs would be a real kick in the nuts to Pacquaio, thing is that Floyd then leaves himself no excuse to drain Sergio to 150, should that fight be talked about later.

Cotto is a good fight for either fighter if and only if it's at 154.

actually it would help Pacquiao if Floyd took Cotto from him

he would then face Bradley, better for his resume and better for boxing

Good fight. The Cotto of today beats every fighter H2H Floyd has ever beat.

The weight won't matter. Cotto isn't a full-fledged 154-man and I bet Kirkland kills him at that weight on physicality alone. Cotto makes 147 easily, still and Mayweather suffers not at all fighting him at 154. He beats him either way and I don't believe it's any worse of a non-Pacquiao fight than Canelo, Ortiz/Berto winner, Khan or whoever else. None have much more chance of beating Mayweather anyway, from 135-154, I don't think. It would be another good, solid name at either weight. I pick Cotto against any non-Pacweather opponent at 147, either by a little or a lot and I think Cotto/Alvarez is even a little more likely having Cotto come out on top.

Majority agrees Mayweather would beat Cotto. How does it go down?

Mayweather/Cotto at 147 never was at any point in the history of the universe going to be a good/competive fight.
