I would label Cotto, Ward and JMM as Warriors, as they have consistently fought the best competition.
:think Telling Pacquiao pretty much goes out with the intention to knock out his opponent, there's a decent chance if this does not happen, he will look poor. Floyd goes out to outbox his opponent, from this a knockout may result, but he doesn't have the power at higher weights so it's not often.
I concur 100%! :happy:happy:happy Pac is a blood and guts warrior and Void is boring, he has some boxing skills but he's over hyped!!
Pac is a fighter... Floyd is a pure boxer that often puts people to sleep. (The audience, not the opponent)
a true warrior does not do catchweight bull****, nor does he fight guys who are on the decline or only after floyd mayweather defeats them. a true warrior does not get KTFO by rustico torrecampo, 3K Battery, Morales, and whipped perhaps 3 times by Juan Manuel Marquez because he just can't figure out Juan's fighting style.
lamont Peterson turned into a warrior against Amir khan who outboxed Peterson in the first few rounds.
Agreed. Mayweather will be remembered for being a great fighter who was never in a great fight. Pac will be remembered for being in many great fights even if he wasn't the best "by the book" boxer of his era.
The name of the sport is boxing, not warrior. I would go with the boxer. If this was war Pacquiao would be a frontline soldier. Mayweather would be a sniper. The sniper really has a better chance of making it home. Both get medals but one actually gets to see his.
