As a Bute fan I won't say that Bute certainly would beat Ward . As a Bute fan I want this fight to happen . Both are great fighters and each one has his chance to win, it could be Bute , it could be Ward.
In the meantime of s6 tournament Ward said that after the s6 t, Bute is the only name that come in his mind to fight after this tournament . After this tournament has ended Ward said : Bute has to prove that deserves a fight with me, against top level fighters .

Maybe Ward waits Bute to get older.

I know that style make fights but compare Bute vs Bika ; Miranda with Ward vs Bika ; Miranda . Bute did a better job than Ward !

Bute has tools but I think Ward is too much. I see Ward getting being able to nullify Bute's offense from both the outside and especially on the inside while landing his own shots. Ward is too versatile for Bute. Bute is fast and has pop so anything is possible, I just don't see him being able to land enough to get Ward in serious trouble.

I think Bute gives him his hardest night yet,but Ward has strength far beyond what I previously thought he had.
Bute's best hope would be to open him up downstairs IMO,but far easier said than done.

we hear a lot about how bute has never faced anyone with boxing skills as dirrell or ward (speed and movement) but this is as true for ward and or dirrell. fighting on the inside like he did with froch will not be possible against bute, bute has odd angles and and does not need a lot of distance to have good impact power. the main probleme that i fear is that the reffing is not up to par, ducking bellow belt line and holding... what i mean is that if ward has the freedome to clinch (hold) freely that might be a problem, because of his speed he will trow couple of punches and lunge in to grab and avoid getting hit. even if this happens, bute is able to adapt and will time him coming in. it goes without saying that this can go eather way. very tachticle. bute love luiring trap to his apponents, lets hope (for ward's sake) that he does not get to greedy.
if showtime can pull this true...i will forgive them for complicating bute froch fight.

I don't think Bute can beat Ward. I'm from Montreal and a big fan of Lucian.
For what I've seen in the S6 final, Ward is one step ahead.

Bute is right there. Just a bit slower.

Lucian can beat anybody else in the SMW but Ward I don't think so.
It would be a close fight against Ward.

As for the fan army... Well they are mostly Montreal Canadiens's fan... (hockey) and are blinded by their love.

They don't have anything in between, They either love you or want to kill you.
Their star are always the best and would beat anybody.

They also want to trade everyone for no reason.

They are crazy..let me tell you!!!

The fight would depend on activity, Lucian would want punches to fly, he punches sharp and accurate (though he's yet to fight someone who has a good defense) so the higher the pace the better for Bute.

Andre Ward would want to nulify the action, to mute Bute's offence and pick him apart with purposeful punches like his jab to the chest and follow up lead left hook.

I'd see Ward fighting on the inside with Bute, with his hands up and elbows tucked in to negate the solid body shots that Bute can throw. Ward is the stronger guy IMO so I don't see Bute being able to muscle himself any space. Ward does high quality work inside the loose guard of Bute, eventually bloodying Lucian's nose. Bute pulls out a few flurries in desperation but nothing of significance lands.

Ward wins a clear UD with neither guy being seriously hurt in the fight. A clear and not very pretty 117-111 type thing.

Andre Ward is a level above anybody at 168, when it comes to ring craft and ad******g his style to out do his opponent. Add to this his fighting IQ and that of Virgil Hunter in his corner and you have a very solid foundation. Ward is entering his athletic prime too which would see him through against the likes of Andre Dirrell IMO.

The challenge will come when he moves up to fight bigger guys, the biggest threat of which I can see is Chad Dawson, simply based on his size and athletic ability.
