Foreman over Frazier, all the way.

Nobody else has dominated a top 10 all time heavyweight, close to their prime, nearly so decisively.

I am actualy content that this is the best win in the history of the heavyweight division, ahead of even Moorer Foreman.

It is one of the best wins in heavyweight history no doubt.

Say what you want about Joe being past it. He still had a fight on his hands that he had to prepare for. What is fair is that he prepare for Foreman the same way he treated Ali. Foreman didn't give Frazier that edge or anger to get really serious about the title defense and he looked past George as a work-out fight in preparation for another big payday with Ali.

It's hard to say who's achievement is the biggest of these three. They were all important wins. Frazier beat the guy that was highly considered the best of all time, even after the exile and the tune-up fights. Foreman beat the guy and to add his #1 sparring partner in 4 rounds, who both gave the greatest his first losses. Ali beat the guy who KOed with ease his two toughest opponents of that time.

Ali over Foreman for me, and the only man to ever stop Big George makes it all the more special.

Ali over Foreman, Ali took those hard body shots from Foreman all night but had a plan the whole time an awesome fight all together

    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :good

I can't believe it took nearly until the end of this thread for someone to make this pick. No one in a million years thought ANYONE could completely demolish the unbeaten, proven ATG Frazier in just 2 rounds, and lift him off the canvass with a single uppercut. In fact, no one even thought such a feat was humanly possible. Personally, I still can't believe it is.

It's too bad this poll is closed, so I can't vote for this option (apparently, no one else has).

Frazier over Ali, even though Ali did have the long layoff and he was not prime, he had 3 tune up fights against very game opposition. Also he knew Frazier was going to be his biggest challenge to date by far. Ali was as good as he ever was after the layoff in the Fa

Then followed that act by slaughtering an arguable Top 15 HW just the same.

Foreman has a hell of a resume based on these top two wins alone. Whatever fringe contenders he plastered prior are validated. Then factor in his standing as a puncher, the longevity he went on to prove, accomplishments, H2H and he doesn't fall any further than Top 3-4 for me.

During the Jamaica traing camp, Eddie Futch dreaded exactly took place in the fight. Joe looked awful and Norton was beating him in the sparring sessions.

Foreman's greatness can be tied to three four wins of the 70s. Frazier(2x), Norton, and Lyle.

I'd have to say Ali over Foreman, i mean Foreman was 40-0 with 37 KO's completely annihilated the two men who beat Ali in 2 rounds a piece and Ali had seen better days. The fashion of the victory is also amazing who could've guessed Ali's tactic against the biggest puncher of the time would be to let him pummel him until he got tired, would any coach in history recommend this tactic against a massive puncher?
Also the fact that he KO'd Foreman the first and last to do so just adds that little bit more to the victory...

Always feel flattered when some of my old threads get revived :D

In the heavyweight golden age of the seventies, these three bouts were,no doubt, the most signifigant.
