The point was, Shane isn't a mover, much less elite level. Naseem came up with a plan for that fight alone and Shane half-assed implemented it. Now when you put that plan to someone who can actually counter (JMM), you have the result that you got in November.
I was never one of the Pac fans who said Pac improved that much since their second fight. And I've always said Pac peaked in 2009. But anyways Marquez wasn't potshotting he was trying to catch Pac as soon as he entered his range. And anyways Marquez wasn't able to beat Pac, although a lot of people have him winning Marquez isn't the kind of fighter you just cut the ring off on and beat into submissision. His combos are too sick and he has really good power. Pac's strategy was to box Marquez but stylewise it'll never be easy and they are pretty much evenly matched because of styles..
If Shane had properly implemented the plan, Pac would've knocked him out. It's one thing to just try to survive but it's another to actually win rounds. Brother Naz implements a plan, his guy loses every round and gets decked, and he thinks his plan is good. GTFO. atsch
Did Pacquiao knock out Marquez? Was Marquez circling to his left? I swear, people like you make discussing boxing pointless. Mosley couldn't pull the trigger, he was turning 40, time was going to catch up with him. Naseem implemented a plan that mad Pac look horrendous and already made people question Pac's ability before Marquez completely exposed him in November. How do you lose every round yet call into question the p4p #1/2 skills? That's how bad Pac looked. And if Shane still had it, Pac would've been ****ed.
I'm still trying to figure that out myself. This has to be the first time in history that this has happened.
stop talking out of your pants, pac would have destroyed both JMM and Sugar, had he, not had cramps, he would caught up with them both and stopped them.
8 peper titles against hand picked over the hill, and ex Floyd victims at bull**** catchweights ! Do you really count David ****ing Diaz as a title win ? Cherrypicked opponants, well hyped and carefully managed, why would he have to cut the ring of agaisnt come foreward fighters ? A terified mosley at 40 gave the ''GREAT'' one fits with basic lateral movement !
Yea Pac lacks a lot of basic technical skills like cutting off the ring-he doesn't use his head much in the ring-just swings his arms and uses what he thinks is "good footwork" to setup bull$hit-works against certain types of fighters but guys like Floyd would easily put Pac out.
It's all relative. At the fight party I threw, my girl (admittedly, dksab) asked me after the 11th round , "Why's the muscular black guy keep running away from the lil Asian guy?" "I dunno, " I replied. It was a rhetorical question so no need to explain the nuances of the sport to her. Then she said, "What a ****ing *****..." I laughed, coz she was right. To the casual eye, that's what it looked like. A lil asian dude turning the big muscular dude into a *****. In that sense, Pac looked pretty damn good.
