Corrie Sanders was avoided by a lot of heavies because he was a very heavy handed fighter. Do the research.

Can we please stop with all this Corrie Sanders nonsence. The guy had no more than average power for a heavyweight, he had no more than OK hand speed, poor stamina, poor dedication and not the greatest punch resistance either. Apart from Wlad, he never beat another heavyweight of any note.

 

Good vid Manning!! watching sanders left hand do its demolitioning is like poetry in motion,must have alot of fast twitch fibres as well to get his punches off so quick. Steamrolled through Sprott and poor Bert Cooper (I think) just kinda gave up as he was getting peppered and hurt with punches from everywhere. Shame Sanders couldnt keep his dedication to conditioning going,bit of a waste really.

 

What's next - Who has the better resume? Muhammed Ali or Ross Puritty.

 

Not true, Sanders when you look at his 3 biggest fights which were against Rahman, (who would KO prime Lewis in his next fight) Vitali and Wlad you can see that he would be a handful against anybody.

The Rahman fight really could of gone either way with Sanders starting strong as always knocking down Rahman in the process in one of the most underrated hw fights of all time. Rahamn did well to get back up and scored the TKO in a fight that could have gone either way.

This is the highlight video yet it may as well have been the full fight as it really was an end to end none stop fight.

Here Sanders KO's ATG Wladimir in spectacular fashion. This was no fluke, Sanders was dangerous against anybody during the first 3 or 4 rounds.

Here Sanders attempts to seal a possible ATG legacy by toppling Vitali right after mauling his brother. Sanders starts well, some say he was far better against Vitali in the opening 6 rounds then Lewis was against the same fighter. Sanders gives Vitali hell and seriously wobbles him during the first round, but Vitali survives and wears Sanders down culminating in a late round KO.

Sanders was no flash in the pan, his stunning destruction over Wlad was no fluke, early on in any fight Sanders was dangerous against anyone.

Sanders is vastly overrated and his power is the most exaggerated part of his attributes. He hit hard, yes, but nothing exceptional. The argument that he hits hard comes from the Wlad knockout and Rahman saying he hit the hardest he'd fought. The reason Rahman said that, is because when harder punchers hit him, he woke up an hour later and the only feeling he had, was that he'd had a nice sleep.

Sanders hit hard. He was nowhere near the hardest at heavyweight though. Shavers was a much bigger punched.

 

More than likely, Sanders used to run the 100 meters in under 11 seconds while at high school. Well I make no claims to be an athletic expert but in my mind that sounds pretty good for a 6'4 H0nkey with a moustache.
