In my opinion,Bute needs Froch more than Froch needs Bute.Poor Lucien has a rep for being a homer and defending against no-hopers.It's not entirely his fault, but Interbox must take some of this heat. They were trying to get the biggest bang for their buck with the least amount of risk.It has now come home and they are under heat from a lot of their own fanboys.Bute ought to buy a passport(and not for Romania) and fight an American or a Brit on their homeground, not Bute's.

Bwahaha, bunch of hot air.

I wanted Bute-Ward yesterday. All boxing fans wanna see it. All boxing fans also agree that Bute-Froch is the next best thing as he's #2 in the division. But you don't. As a worthless troll, you'd rather Bute takes the high risk no reward fight against a contender who's now negotiating through a senile old man. Good job, especially after saying you'd give Bute credit if he beat Johnson which he did.

You'll always be asking for the impossible, just to burn Bute if the nonsensical impossible solution is not implemented.

All that said, you can kindly **** off now. :smoke

The only leverage Andre Dirrell has is that Bute has no other options for a credible opponent, and it looks like that may be enough. It's pretty sad, now that the S6 is over, Bute is in the same position he was in during the tournament.

I think Bute should make some compromise and push for the Dirrell fight in NY/NJ with Showtime backing it.

Perhaps Bute could get Dirrel in March in MSG then Forch in May in KNottingham. :think

Not enough of a break / camp in between the two IMO.

I don't think so. Shaw said he'd be happy to have Dirrell fight Bute in Canada, Dirrell fired Shaw & Haymon saying he would not fight Bute in Canada.

Good luck Andre. I'm sure you'll be diplomatic enough to get your point across. :rofl

You said Dirrell-Bute was possible because you thought Froch was going to defend at home in May?

Any glorious quote to back up this bragging statement? ;)

    From BadLeftHook.com:

Dirrell (20-1, 14 KO) says he wants the Bute fight, and without Froch going to Montreal, the Bute camp can't really bring in another big drawing card. The sticking point would be Dirrell's trainer, uncle, and Team Dirrell Promotions partner, Leon Lawson Jr, saying that they won't go to Montreal to fight, instead ludicrously offering to fight him in Detroit, where the crowd would be sparse and everyone would make less money.

In short, if Showtime could force it, Bute vs Dirrell would probably be getting hammered out at the negotiating table right now. But they can't. They have another fight with Bute on his contract, and they're high on Dirrell, or at least they were before he fired Haymon and Shaw. But they can only push for the fight, they can't flat out make it a reality.

So this is quite a pickle Bute has right now. He isn't going to fight Froch, Andre Dirrell's team doesn't want to go to Montreal because they hate money, and nobody in the IBF top 15 (13) is free or qualified...except Andre's brother, Anthony Dirrell.

"Because they hate money" -

Yeah. Why fight in Montreal for hundreds of G's when you can fight in Detroit for peanuts?

Sounds like a great deal to me.

I wonder what Espinoza will tell the Lawsons & Andre Dirrell when he sits them down tomorrow morning.

Who the **** would organize & promote a Bute-Dirrell fight in the US? Interbox won't, Showtime is not a promoter... and Team Dirrell Promotions is a family business that's just getting started. May you delusional ****s be happy in bankruptcy.

It's starting to look a bit more like Bute KO5 Green on April 14th. Virgil Hunter's backing Bute up on that one. :good

After dirrell got screwed in Nottingham , I wouldn't want to go to Canada where bute has already been knocked out and still won!

Which is a well documented myth.

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=17659&more=1

Doesn't make sense to have the fight outside of QC. It's not Ward or Froch we're talking about, it's no-fanbase Dirrell with ZERO promotion horsepower behind him. Dirrell is coming off a win over Darryl Cunningham FFS, he's not in a position to dictate ****.
