Why did Pac say he would take less than 50/50, then demand 50/50 to Floyd??

negative-Pac made his last statement with the "less than 50/50" and didn't follow up with anything much beyond that-

Please come up with something else-this answer, does not satisfy the TS post.:deal

Because floyd asked for too many demands...If pac has to agree with everything, why not floyd agree with pacs only request???

Because it's boxing and it really doesn't work like that-

You think Floyd said "Oscar since you get 70/30 and you pick the ring size, then I pick the gloves k."

It's boxing bro-If you look at there numbers since fighting Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd averages 240 thousand more buys per fight-

It simply doesn't work like how your suggesting-It's "business." :deal

With that said I believe there is enough money on the table for a 50 50 split-I just think Pac fuked himself outta that 50/50..Floyd gonna hold Pac to what he said.

best answer right here. Because Pac never wanted the fight.

Thanks for the logical answer Pimp C. Up until this point, nobody posted much of anything-the other good answer was that Pac saw how bad he did with JMM and he can't "really" deny that...

2 good answers and it took 2 pages:good..everything else just a bunch of insults from *******s who don't know much of anything about the sport-

Gotta go fellaz-I gotta get a root canal done man.:patsch

Did he actually say he would take less than 50/50

The only thing I saw was a translation from a philipine interview where he said he'd take less money to make the fight happen.

That could mean less of a guarantee. Not less money so floyd gets more. Is there a quote out there that's more clear than this? I've asked this question a few times here but got no reply. I'd make a thread to try and clear it up, but the last hing this board needs is another Pac/May thread.

You ****in' idiot! PAC said he will accept less than 50% to make the fight happen. Floyd offered $40 million straight up no PPV share. I know your math is limited but hear this, if this fight generates around $300 million and PAC gets $40 is that even close to 50/50? And some experts even said this fight can generate $500 million. Had Floyd offered 52/48 sharing in all revenues this fight would've been done already but Floyd will keep DUCKING by lowballing PAC with a $40 million offer. Fact. :deal

Exactly, just because he says he'l take less, doesn't mean he ducks when floyd offers him a fixed amount with no PPV upside.

Anyway can someone answer this question so I got all the facts:

Pac said he'd take a lesser share. Most people will see that as less than 50/50, because it's no reason for him to say he'll take a lesser share from Top Rank's slice when trying to negotiate a fight with Floyd.

Pac said he'd take less. Floyd offered him less. If they don't like Floyd's offer and meant something else shouldn't they bring a number to Floyd they'll accept? Shouldn't they negotiate a rate? They flat out said no 50/50 no fight, right after he said he'd take less. I blame Floyd just as much as the next man for asking for more than 50/50, but to act like Manny didn't say he'd take less and act like they even tried to negotiate a lesser rate is flat out wrong.
