It's easily GSP followed by Bute followed by Pascal.

    There's a huge distance between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3.

Never say never. Bute could absolutely surpass GSP if he faces and beats the likes of Froch, Dirrell and Ward. It would put boxing on everyone's tongues once again and make a lot of Canadians (and Romanians) proud. GSP is a great technician but a touch boring to watch especially of late. The same cannot be said of Bute whom I believe will have a shot at stardom. UFC seems to be more pop at the moment here, but I think its wearing itself thin of late and all boxing needs to respark its popularity in Canada is a big name who can sustain himself for a few years. A lot of people were ready to embrace Pascal, Molitor and Lemieux until reality kicked in. I always thought Lennox should have done more to promote boxing in Canada. Dude just didn't pay his dues to the people and place that made him imo.

bute has a lot of fans via russ anber, who used to hype the hell out of him on TSN. But GSP is head and shoulders above, he's one of the biggest, if not the biggest star in MMA, which translates to being more popular than a middle of the range popular boxer. If Bute becomes a top boxing star...then it'll be a lot closer.

Outside of Quebec boxing has next to no coverage. Nobody even knows who or what Bute and Pascal do.

In Quebec, Bute and St-Pierre are known by most people, Pascal a little less. I'd say that GSP is more popular, but Bute's got a good following. In the rest of Canada, St-Pierre is the clear answer.

    Quebec : Bute
    Rest of Canada : GSP

Rest of Canada > Quebec, so GSP > Bute.

Pascal is like Bute : mostly know in Quebec. Bute people in Quebec prefer quiet champions (Bute, Lucas, ...) to bragging champions (Pascal, Hilton, ...). That's why Bute is a bigger draw than Pascal.

Outside of Quebec I don't think anybody knows who Bute is. GSP is pretty much a household name. MMA is also more popular in Canada and therefore a top MMA fighter like GSP is going to be more recognized than some mid-level boxer like Bute. Deal with it.
