I just now realized that this is on the undercard of Hernandez-Cunningham II. How is that not mentioned until now? That's really OP-worthy info.
It's interesting because the winner of Hernandez-Cunningham is mandated by the IBF to fight Ross. And I thought it's significant because some people were saying Ross had retired. Ross is underrated, he'd have a chance of defeating any cruiserweight. He would have defeated Cunningham and won the title if not for the thumb going his eye.
Was Ross really on the way to beating Cunningham, wasnt it only the 5th round, there was plenty of fight left or was he really schooling him in there? and cruiser has good rivalry possibilities like USS vs Diablo III or Huck II USS vs Hernandez II maybe Diablo vs Tarver USS vs Lebdev Diablo vs Lebdev Ross vs any of those if Huck moves up i wonder who gets his belt
Ross isn't active enough , he should and could be a threat to everybody in that division. I still like the guy , smart and polite like all Canadians :yep
Seemed on his way? Losing every round except the one KD you scored "appears to be on the way" to a Ross victory?:blood
atschLanding one shot and dropping him counts as "dominating" and Cunningham came back and looked to be in control of the fight after the KD.
Ross should have been given the rematch against Cunningham bottom line and he has waited and waited for his rematch, but in my opinion has been screwed around by not only the IBF, but the Sauerland group too. Now, he signs a promo deal with the Sauerland group, which look like they are trying to set him again..... Who knows! In my opinion, Ross is the most talented and exciting fighter out of all of them, although Hernandez can punch!
I'd agree, but is Braithwaite not retired yet? If he could drag him into the ring, yeah. It wouldn't be a huge victory, but it would correct a not too distant blemish and wouldn't be as meaningless as Pacquiao avenging the Torrecampo loss. More along the lines of Klitschko-Brewster II, or if Khan went after Prescott.
I read in the Toronto papers that Ross signed a 3 fight promo deal with Sauerland. He got a bonus of 100 k but of course,Sauerland will screw that out of him over the course of the contract.
