    Mismatch at this point.... would be a good fight early on with canelos strength and power... maybe he hurts vargas early, maybe he doesn't, but either way vargas would overwhelm canelo mid fight and stop him late. Kinda hard to fathom anyone credible thinking otherwise.

    according to Vargas' logic he loses because Alvarez is more Mexican than he is.

    Vargas takes him to the trenches to an early TKO...When has Canelo ever been in a war or faced a legitimate opponent to suggest he could hang with a guy like Vargas???

    jose miguel cotto had canelo stunned an his best weight was 130 fernando was full fledged jm an at this time would beat canelo a few years down the road my opinion may change depending on how the very young talented fighter progresses aginst bigger tougher opponets

    At this stage of his career, I believe Canelo would lose to young Vargas...and lose brutally. Who has Canelo fought that's close to a prime Vargas?
