If Floyd really wants the fight, why did he have to move the goalpost? AGAIN?

So is money more important than ensuring the fight happens in the first place, contradicting the fact that if the fight doesn't happen there's a net loss with the opportunity cost?

wind her up folks 3..2..1... GO

and no, I haven't forgotten about ***rum's excuses so there I saved you a lot of time from posting your strawmans

my original opinion on this is that floyd really doesn't intend to fight pac in the first place and all the twitter and facebook calls are all for a show and schaefer and GBP had planned canelo all along for the may 5th date.

if floyd really wants pac next, he should have accepted the 50/50 split offered by pacquiao which he and his team has agreed on before during the first negotiations. floyd has no leg to stand on demanding a bigger split especially when pac had outsold floyd's last fight.

now, i want to hear the floyd fans reasoning (and the funny ***** excuses) why floyd had to move the goalpost yet again and won't fight with a 50/50 split.

Pacquiao is on record saying he'd take the smaller purse to make the fight happen. A month later he's demanding 50/50.

It's certainly debatable who moved the goal post.

I don't know what to tell you mate. Only advice I got is to not worry about it too much. I've wasted enough time worrying about Pac vs. May, we got plenty of great fights this month.

If floyd thought he could beat the midgit then he'd have fought pac in a heart-beat simple as.

No the Hatton's, blown up Marquez, old payday Mosleys & ****** Ortiz all fit nicely into the fistic & finacial criteria that floyds always spouting of MAX REWARD for MINIMAL RISK & Manny Pacquiao don't fit into that criteria as he's viewed as a CLEAR & PRESENT DANGER & only the deaf, dumb & blind *****'s argue otherwise:lol:

pac did said that he would take less, but mayweather already booked the date and place without even negotiating..

so it's still ok for team pac to demand 50/50 :hat

Mayweather was winning the PR battle by a landslide. If he really didn't want the fight then he would have just let it be, put the blame on Arum and Pac and moved on.

Instead he called Pac to offer him a deal of 40mil guaranteed but no money on the back end. Then he sent an email to ESPN to tell them that he rejected 50/50. He clearly thought to himself that it was a good deal to be willing to risk losing the PR battle over it. All we are doing is speculating that its not a good deal even though we have no idea how much money the fight will make or how much expenses will be spent promoting the fight. We assume that Mayweather will come out like a bandit though.

Reguardless the fight wasn't going to be made because Arum wouldn't have allowed it to happen. I don't think Pac could agree to Mayweather's deal even if he got 50/50 without buying himself out of his contract with Arum.

the fight was never gonna happen on may 5th cause it's a golden boy event and Pac is under contract with top rank. but if floyd sticks to asking more than 50/50 then the fight will never happen ever.

How many years, how many contradictory statements, how many failed negotiations are going to have to take place before you guys realize NEITHER SIDE WANTS THIS FIGHT?

Just stating the facts. It was Pac who put himself in this position.

Id moan about that too but for 2 reasons. 1, hes not actually asking for more, just the same as Floyd. 2. Floyd wants it in a smaller venue than could be filled, hence less money so bigger cut.

Has Floyd actually shifted on any demand at all or is it just new ones added on to already demanding sometihng. Smells a bit like chicken if you ask me.

All of these back and forth between Mayweather and Pacquiao and their fans doesn't matter because now we know Floyd already have somebody else to fight on May 5th a long time ago.
