Is Miguel Cotto a better fighter now than he was Just before the Pacquiao Fight?

Perfectly stated. Cotto has always been what he is. A one handed front runner who is good at beating B level guys but is a step below elite.

The Clottey fight pre-Paquiao showed what level Cotto has been his entire career.

I remember when floyd got offered a record pay day to fight the well known but slow plodding Margarito. Easy work for floyd.

But floyd was like hell naw, I'm gonna fight the more dangerous stocky powerhouse that is Carlos the Buldozer Baldomir cos I'm all about legacy Dawg.

Thats when I was like, Floyds the Shizzle and Is definetly the GOAT.

I think he is better now. Yeah, I miss his Termniator days of seek and destroy, but he is much more disciplined now and doesn't try to be macho and ****. Look what being macho did for him against Pac. Look what it did for JuanMa against Salido.

Great fighters drop the macho bull**** and only look to win. You don't see BHop or Floyd acting all macho in there. When they step in the ring, it's the beginning of a chess match for them, not some bar room spectacle.

Oh yeh I forgot, he was also the lineal champ powerhouse.

Its all about belts and legacy with floyd. Money don't mean anything.

Some people think Belts just collect dust. But not my man floyd. He about the Legacy and the tough fights.

I dont know. I think Floyd should have fought Margarito coming off his dominating win over Six heads rather then fight hall of famer Oscar.

Maybe. A tough one that. But i think floyd wanted to test himself even further, so thought he'd go up in weight to fight a prime, strong hungry Oscar at 154.
The money was just a bonus on that one.

I think he a little worn out, but he's not shot. And I think the moving up in weight helped him quite a bit. And he's definitely a warrior.

I dont know. Oscar may have ATG Jab, boxing skill, brilliant at picking off punches, and was coming off KOing Mayorga in 6 rounds, who Cotto and Mosley struggled with, but...

Margarito was a monster! I mean his chin. And he doesnt stop punching. Look at his resume. He beat Sergio Martinez and lost close decisions to Hall of famers Paul Williams and Daniel Santos!

I think it was a clear Mayweather duck here. Sorry.

He definitely showed more skill (better technique, coordination and counter-punching) and more handspeed in Margo II.

He got paid the same amount he would have gotten for Margarito...for Baldomir.

He flat out ran most of the fight from a guy who has never been a big puncher and wasn't even rated at that weight....AND HE HAD ONE ****ING EYE!

Cotto is still the same basic Top Rank hypejob. Throw him in with any elite fighter and watch him lose.
