He took the second toughest fight available to him. Thing is, the best fight for him which is significantly better fight, and that's Sergio Martinez.

So it's a good fight, but not a great fight. Mayweather once again doesn't show the super ambition other great boxers in the past have shown but the fight is certainly not a farce either.

But Cotto was a sub elite fighter then and he's a sub elite fighter now who just happens to weigh 9 pounds more. Not a great win, I thought the Margarito 2 fight was exactly the same fight with a more damaged Tony in front of him, and he still didn't stand and fight.

This will not end well for Miguel Cotto, he's NOT a great fighter and never will be. He's a good solid fighter who has made a run at 154 of a feather fisted rabbi, an ex nonskilled but scrappy exwelter who oscar took care of handily well past his best, and another career welter who had taken extreme amounts of damage in his career. Not an atg 154 lb champ by any stretch.
