Cotto was a 3-1 underdog or some **** going into that great fight, in yankee stadium....I was there with my kid and dad. Pretty cool! Cotto was way better than Yuri You think Arum wanted Cotto to win hells no Young Jewish Champ ........mad paper Miguel said gimme that in the BX
i dont see why he shouldnt. it was one sided fight. it would have ended sooner if yuri wasnt back peddling.
People give him credit, but just not as much as you want them to give him. It was a good win, but nothing special.
Because it was Foreman. I remember quite a few people saying it was the end of Cotto(e) before the fight, I wasn't one of them. Seeing Foreman on the undercard of Cotto(e)-pacquiao convinced me Foreman won't ever be elite.
He should. Yuri Foreman at that point was a very good fighter. Cotto was coming off of a loss, had a new trainer and had moved up in weight. (His father had recently passed too if I remember) so to perform as he did was fantastic.
yeah cuz everyone knows a young jewish champ will make boxing a **** load of money. i noticed how biased HBO was.
This content is protected it's mostly them *****s. since floyd ducked cotto when he was still dangerous, *****s have been shitting on him.
Foreman tainted the victory with his "injury". Its nothing new, look at the margarito rematch...the general consensus here was that he would get destroyed again, then he wins impressively and the new line is "Ooohh he beat a one eyed marg, big deal".ESB has some of the worst boxing "fans" around.
who doesnt give him credit, he gets the credit he should get as a good win but you cant say it was a great win since foreman was never elite and never established himself as a great fighter... plus foreman didnt do **** after fighting cotto so you can easily say he wasnt that good.. :hat
He should get more than he gets. Foreman's a good boxer, but he lacks power and that is always going to hurt his chances in big fights. Also Foreman was hurt going in. Note the knee brace. To a lot of people Foreman was just holding the championship for Cotto. Was it a career defining win? No, but it was a solid win.
Yes and no. Odds are more than who is the better boxer. They also reflect a combonation of who the sportsbook can make the most money off of, and the betting action on the fight it's self.
Going into the fight with Foreman, Cotto was the betting underdog. This Forum has a short memory, alot of respected posters here were making solid arguments for Yuri to win. I didn't even make a pick, and saw Foreman as slight favourite.
